Hey guys! FTOPS and SCOOP is coming and in the light of my previous success in MTTs I decided to play quite a few of those. I will play lowest buy ins, NL holdem mostly regular structure events.
I got lot of possitive feedback for publishing wins on those tourneys here and requests to continue doing so, so I have decided to make thread out of this quest and publish results, some interesting hands and other stuff and maybe get few of you to folow my progress.
Here is a list of events I'm gonna be playing:
Mini FTOPS: 1.April 21st- Event#02: 22+2$ /busto 2.April 25th- Event#12: 11+1$ /busto 3.April 28th- Event#19: 12+1$ Knockout /127th place, 114$+10$ KO's 4.April 29th- Event#23: 10+1$ Turbo/ 11th place!! GOD DAMIT 455$ 5.April 30th- Event#26: 10+1$ 1r+1a/ wont play this one, just saw its turbo... 6.May 2nd- Event#30: 20+2$ /127th place; 55$ 7.May 3rd- Event#32: 10+1$ Rush / Did not play
SCOOP: 8.May 12th- Event#02L: 27$ /busto 9.May 13th- Event#03L: 5.50$ rebuy / didnt play 10.May 14th-Event#07L: 7.50$ HU / 4th round, itm 19$ 11.May 14th-Event#08L: 11$ 12.May 15th-Event#10L: 27$ Super knockout 13.May 17th-Event#15L: 7.50$ Ante up 14.May 19th-Event#21L: 27$ 15.May 19th-Event#22L: 27$ 16.May 21st-Event#29L: 11$ 17.May 22nd-Event#31L: 27$ Knockout
EDIT:I didn't know there is also Pokerfest on Party poker! Its starts April 21st and lasts for 2 weeks. I decided to mix it too.
POKERFEST 18.April 21st-Event#04: 2$ /did not play 19.April 21st-Event#05: 22$ /did not play 20.April 24th-Event#16: 1$ Turbo /did not play 21.April 24th-Event#17: 11$ Turbo /did not play 22.April 26th-Event#24: 1$ Bounty /busto 23.April 26th-Event#25: 11$ Bounty /busto, 1 Ko, 2,5$ 24.April 28th-Event#34: 2$ /busto 25.April 28th-Event#35: 22$ /busto 26.May 4th -Event#58: 2$/didnt play 26.May 4th -Event#59: 22$/didnt play 27.May 5th -Event#62: 3$/didnt play If I do well in couple of first few on poker fest I may add couple more like 6max and rebuy events. Im not sure will I play them since I have only 100$ on party (WPT) account.
So, total buy ins amount will be between 390$ and 420$ (depending on 2 rebuy events)
I have made myself couple of chalenges: 1. To make at least 200$ profits DID IT 2. To make at least 5 cashes DID IT 3. To make 1 final table
I will concider success to acomplish at least 1 of those. All 3 would be HUGE
Also sold 50% of shares to felows mobsters for theese events: April 27th- Event#16: 50+5$ HU did not play; played 55big, did not make money April 28th- Event#20: 30+3$ /itm,600th and some, 88$ May 5th - Event#37: 24+2$ 6max ko/ busto
So far, from 13 events played I managed to have 4 cashes and have around 500$ profits

first of all, big for what will surely be an interesting thread to follow. secondly- regarding your goals: i think for a player of your quality, 5 cashes from 17 events is very doable. $200 profit is a fair mark- i think there's a good chance of reaching this too. so i reckon 1-2 goals will be achieved. final table- that's lottery you might win or not (even the best of the best have long periods without final tables). oh one more thing- since i'm uber jealous i voted for the option: "...you're a donk", at least that made me feel a bit better

Thanks for putting this up.. I believe people would love to rail you and follow this challenge as you're probably the most succesful mobster out here I wish you the best of luck with this!
Oh and btw , I might be interested in some shares ..

Well I'm looking to sell half of those 3 tourneys. So thats 50% of 114$. That means you can buy lets say 10% for 11,40$ and if I make money from those 3 tourneys, you will get 10% of it (if I make 1000$, yours is 100$)

Well...if you accomplished #3, the other two would be moot can't imagine you'd be too concerned about getting only 1 cash, if it was a final table of a SCOOP event!

Curious.. Why sell any of your action? Given your recent results, all of these tourneys are well within your bankroll.. And you obviously have a great ROI.. Surely you're just throwing away EV by selling your action
If you DO sell your action, you should include a mark-up on the shares.. That is pretty much what everyone with a good ROI does.. So if you're selling shares worth 10% each of a $100 package, make each share cost $11 for example instead of $10. Basically - you should more or less apply a markup that is a reflection of your ROI.
If a tournament is $100 to enter and your ROI for $100 events is 10%, then your expected value from playing the tourney is $110 (or $10 profit). So a single 10% share is actually worth $11, not $10.

Put me down for a $10 share; that is, if I can transfer it to you via full tilt player transfer (maybe publish your full tilt ID, so we know where to transfer...).
This happens to be exactly the amount I deposited, that does not come from bonusses and winnings, and I was meaning to withdraw that anyway to keep the balance "clean"...

rbdflyboy you reserved 25% of actions. marqis do you mean 10%? Would be hard to calculate % of winnings for 10$ share Is it 9%?
Anyway, its 15% more left. I will then post my usernames on FT and PS so buyers can transfer money. Wont do it right away because I dont know will I manage to sell that 15%

These are events that I wouldnt play without selling. 55$ HU and 33$ kinda is too big. Also 26$ is kind of big since Im not used to 6max tourneys. I do play lot of 6max sngs but mtts no. I have BR but you remember that I live from this and cant aford to spew money to HUGE fields tourneys. Told to myself that I wont play over 20$ BI for quite some time (broke that with 27$ but I wouldnt almost play scoop at all if I havent decided to play theese). Anyway, 30$ and over is no no for now. Also, I wanted to fit into 300$ budget.
If I sell high stakes shares maybe but complicate things for few $ really dont make sense. Also, I am selling here, not on 2+2 and I kind of think about ppl on this forum as of my friends. I dont want to make money from them, just want to make myself more afordable to play those 3 bastards. I hope all this makes sense to you

Yeah - that is a good reason. And for some reason I didn't realise the tourneys you were selling shares on were a bit higher value, I thought they were around $20, I didn't read it properly. But you're right about selling the shares into the community; it's nice to do something to give back to BRM!
Obviously 'generally' speaking anything to do with requesting money (staking, begging, loaning, etc) is frowned upon on these forums. But not only have you proved yourself a long-term committed and regular member of the forums, but you've also shown outstanding results. As much as it pains me to admit it - I have no doubt you're a better player than myself, not just regarding your success and results, but no doubt your skills as well.
So I hope those reading and thinking about buying shares realise the great opportunity they're getting !
Obviously there is no guarantee that you will cash in any of these games, but mostly certainly you go into them with a positive expectation. And with no mark-up on the value of the shares you're selling, they are a superb and certainly +EV investment for anyone interested in taking you up!
