Question About Party Poker  0
Hey guys,... I've been looking around the site here for some sort of promotion from Party Poker but can't seem to find anything. If my memory serves me correctly,...I thought I saw something here just recently about some sort of deposit bonus...

Also,...is Party Poker and Skrill connected? Can I send money from Party Poker to Skrill?....

...and how long would that transfer take? Is it instant...?

...and is there a fee?

...is there a minimum amount you can withdraw from Party Poker...?

Thanks!!! Smile

Okay,....I found the answer to my own questions,....but now a wee problem...

So I clicked on the link to sign up through here,....got to PP's download page,....and now I can't get it to download....

I clicked on:

Play Now,

Download Now,...and

Nothing happens,....just keeps going back to the original page....

Anybody know what's up with that...?

Hello demodawggy,

You can call them this number which is for Canada:

011-1-877-447-2183

But it is strange, because you are describing a situation, when the Server doesn't allow you to download the PartyPoker Software. You say that you can't download it and it goes back to the original page.

This is happening only in situations when your IP Address is reccognized like a restricted country. Only in situations like this, it doesn't allow you to download the software.

But the strange thing is that Canada is not a restricted territory and all canadians can play PartyPoker and all related Party sites.

So, may be you have a technical problem, so call them on the phone.

By the way, if you are curious, here you are the list of the restricted countries for PartyPoker and all their sites:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Afghanistan Guadeloupe New Caledonia Singapore
American Samoa Guam Northern Mariana Islands Somalia
Bermuda Haiti Pakistan Syrian Arab Republic
Bulgaria Hong Kong Peoples Republic of China Turkey
Congo India Puerto Rico Ukraine
Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea Iran Republic of Sudan United States Minor Outlying Islands
France Iraq Reunion United States of America
France, Metropolitan Israel Rwanda Virgin Islands (U.S.)
French Guiana Italy St Barthelemy Zimbabwe
French Polynesia Lebanon St Martin
French Southern Territories Liberia Samoa
Grenada Myanmar Sierra Leone

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As you see, Canada is not listed. So, you better call them. I remember now, it is possible that your antivirus program is switched on a high level. You have to fix the antivirus program settings to allow the installation of PartyPoker like a trusted site. May be this is your problem. Check it!

First of all, please make sure you uninstall any software or delete anything that has something to do with PartyPoker on your computer. To double check if you have downloaded or saved some PartyPoker folders on your computer please follow the steps below:

• Click 'Start', point to 'Settings', click on 'Control Panel', and then double-click on the 'Add/Remove Programs'. Open 'My Computer' and browse to 'C:/Program files/', then delete 'PartyGaming' folder (default location is C:/Program files/PartyGaming unless you changed the installation folder the last when you installed).

After that, I would ask you to delete all 'Temporary Files' and 'Cookies' on your computer and clear 'History' in the 'Internet Explorer'. In order to do that, please follow the steps below:

1. Close all programs and open Internet Explorer.
2. Click on Tools on the menu bar.
3. Click on Internet Options.
4. Under the General tab, there is a Browsing history section.
5. Click on the Delete button staying for deleting Temporary Files, History, Cookies, Saved Passwords and Web Form Information.
6. Another window will pop-up, where you have to click on the Delete all button at the bottom.
7. Click on Yes to confirm. Close all the windows. Also close Internet Explorer.

After the above procedure, please perform a Disk Cleanup:

1. Close all the programs.
2. Click on Start button and then on All Programs.
3. Click on Accessories and Select System Tools.
4. Click on Disk Cleanup. After the disk cleanup is done, you will be taken back to the desktop.

You will then need to restart your computer and follow the steps below to download the software:

1. Start your computer and as the computer is booting press and hold the 'F8' key.
2. This should bring up a black screen named 'Windows Advanced Options Menu'.
3. Use your arrow keys to navigate and select 'Safe Mode with Networking'
4. Hit the 'Enter' key.
5. Once your system loads go to the Internet and open http://www.partypoker.com ( Your desktop icons may be larger but this is expected behaviour )
6. Once the lobby is installed, restart your system and login the standard way.
7. You will have a PartyPoker icon on your desktop. Double clicking on it will launch the application.

If you are thinking to get he no deposit in Party do so before requesting a cash out of your BRM
points there cause you may not be able to get it afterwards.
Usually the BRM transfer counts as a deposit

Will this enable me to download the software through the BrM site to collect the $10 BrM bonus....?

Somehow I'm thinking not....

I phoned PP and they sent me a link with which to register... They also said that their software may not download to Internet Explorer and to use Firefox or Google Chrome...

Does this make any sense to any one...? Does anyone have the PP software on THEIR IE browser...

I haven't tried the F8 thing yet. Will this work for sure...? Have you or anyone tried this with the PP software...

Thanks guys!!!

mirexxxx

I did the F8 thing ....

What I got was a little connection window come up and in it it said:

dialing attempt 1
unable to establish a connection
dialing attempt 2
unableto establish a connection

So I then clicked on the connection from my desktop, and same thing...

That didn't wok....got any remedies...?

Maybe I'll have to use a different browser...

You'd think a company like PP would have compatible software with the most popular browser like everyone else...

Thanks!

I have down loaded it through explorer and it down loaded ok and works ok, I also have done so on other platforms one was firefox I think, it is a nearly new computer but that shouldn't matter has long as the computer isn't too ancient and has the newest explorer that should work.

Also I am not sure but I am in England The Land of Hope and Glory and should it matter if you use it in Canada

Maybe just down load the newest explorer and I am sure that will do.

No I am not the best for this problem has I am like most when I run into a computer problem I need help but just thought I would put my 2 peneth in here it may just be that.

Hello demodawggy,

Yes, you have to download Mozilla Firefox from here:

http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/

And that way everything will be ok. Some poker sites work only with Internet Explorer, others work only with Mozilla Firefox.

I have Mozilla, but last year when I tried to download 888 poker, I remember now that I had the same problems like you. I called the support and they told me that I have to install Ineternet Explorer. When I installed it, I downloaded 888 poker after that without any problems.

DON'T USE GOOGLE CHROME!!! JUST INSTALL MOZILLA FIREFOX AND AFTER THAT INSTALL THE PARTY POKER SOFTWARE!!!!

It will work!!! I am sure!

Thanks a lot you guys. You've been an enourmous help!

I hooked up with a poker chat message board,...and have had MORE lessons in computer 'How Tos'..

Between you guys and rfdflyboy and a few others with the 'Search Everything' download,....I've learned a TON of good info...

...not to mention all the free Grade A #1 'Melons'....lol... Big Smile

EDIT: One more question...

Ya,...I'm worse than a 3 yr old with all the questions... why why why why why why? lol...

If I download Mozilla,...I guess I can have the 2 browsers on my computer at the same time right?...but you can only use 1 at a time,...either IE or Mozilla,...?

There are no problems to have 2 browsers installed on your computer. You choose whichone to click and work with. I have IE and Mozilla, but I use only Mozilla. But when I open 888 software and klick to see the promotions, it is opened automatically by IE, because 888 works only with IE. Smile

For example Sky Poker works only with Firefox. It doesnt work with IE. I had problems downlading it with IE, and the support told me that I need Firefox.

I mean, the poker softwares choose itself with wich browser to work. You don't have to do anything. It works automatically. All you need is to have installed Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.

You can use the two browsers at the same time if you want. That will not harm your computer. Smile
