PokerStars Macau Cup Red Dragon main event saw a record 891-player field when it kicked off last week. The final table was played yesterday and 30-year-old Taiwanese poker professional Terry Fan ended up taking down the title and HK $1,771,000 (approx. 228,110 USD). Congratulations to the winner frankly i did not hear before of him...

But if you thing the second time you realize that there are tons of high stakes players from asia that are unknown now on stars and ftp.

I haven't heard of any of these players, but one so I wonder where they general play at. It's a nice chunk of money to win no doubt, but it seems there'd be more players with recognition in this.

Maybe I'm just not familiar with this tournament or the players in it or is it just for Asian players?

well although there doesn't seem to be any big names there it's still a lot of money to be won,i'll bet we will see bigger names there in the future as it said it's getting bigger every year.
