What kind of games are you referring to? cash games? sng? mtt?
Anyway, generally speaking, it depends on the 3-bet raise percentage of the 3-bettors: the wider it is the more you should 4bet. but you have also to consider stacks involved and, in case of sng and mtt, consider the stacks in amount of Big Blinds and how far you are from ITM positions.
