PokerStars' announced a new high stakes tournament at the City of Dreams Casino, Macau.
Created in conjunction with the Guangdong Group (Macau) Ltd, the GuangDong Ltd Asia Millions (GDAM) will run from June 4 to 7 and feature a $32,500 "warm-up" tournament, as well as a $130,000 Main Event.
With two rebuys allowed in the Main Event, the organisers are tipping the tournament to be the largest prizepool outside of the WSOP.
In the past the Guangdong Group has organised a $260,000 buy-in tournament that featured members of their organisation as well as poker's elite, including Tom "durrrr" Dwan, Patrik Antonius and Gus Hansen.
On that occasion 73 players took to the felt and created a prizepool of more than $23 million, which meant the eventual winner, Stanley Choi, walked away with $6,465,746.
PokerStars is giving one qualifier a chance to fly to Macau take part in the tournament with a satellite package worth $132,000.
