UK's gaming tax reform  0
First Outlined in March 2012, the new law has been dormant for 12 months but was recently reviewed by the Department of Culture Media and Sport.
After considering the proposal to tax offshore companies on their profits from UK based players, the DCMS had one reservation: the level of taxation on gaming companies.
Set at 15%, the DCMS has reportedly stated that this could be too high and that it may drive customers "into the black market".
However, aside from this reservation, the DCMS was largely in favour of the regulation, which means it will now move onto the next legislative step.
