In less than 2 min I lost $5 at Full Tilt Poker  0
Hi mobsters,

This is my story from today: I played at Full Tilt Poker SNG, $0.50 Buy In, 9 players and I finished second. I won $1.13 from that SNG. So, after that I sat on the ring tables, micro limits - $0.01/$0.02.

9 hours I was playing at these tables and I made $1.13 into $10. So I am pretty happy. But I decided to jump at $0.02/$0.05 tables. So, something very strange happened. One guy from Norway (olefering) came at that table and every time he did ALL IN preflop. he did this like 6 times- ALL IN preflop with very bad cards and every time he won. he robbed all the players at the table.

So I had AK, he did ALL IN again preflop with 2J, I called, at the flop appeared 2, so he won with a pair of 2. I lost $2.50. Next hand he did the same ALL IN preflop. He had 3J, I had A10, so I decided to call. At the flop appeared 3 so he won with a pair of 3. I lost another $2.50.

OMG, this is ridiculous! No words to describe it. That guy took all our money, I mean all the players who were sitting at that table. He won every time with ALL IN preflop with very poor cards, we had monster cards. So he won more than $20 from everybody in less than 5 minutes and then he left the table!

My question is: If you had AK, and A10 would you call ALL IN like me? Or you would fold? What is wrong? Did I make a mistake? Did other players at that table made mistakes too, calling with monster cards, but finally lost?

So, guys be very carefull when you see that player at Full Tilt Poker from Norway: olefering. Because he is very dangerous!

You can have a look at the screenshots too see what was the situation there. I am PartyGB.

Watch out for him? If I were you I would seek him out...

It seems he's got plenty of money to waste, and is not shy about doing so...

Sorry you lost though, that sucks...

yeah watch out that norwegian- you wouldn't want to meet him in the dark street for sure Shock

i think i knoe the answer here- ft are testing out a new "rigged invention" - it works very simply, you win every hand you go allin - but this is true only if you come from norway & it works for 5 min...pretty much a hit n run scheme...

Yes, I tried to search him, but no results found. It seems he is hidden.

Peter,
Sometimes it's best to wait for even better cards in that situation, because you know he will go all in everytime.
Of course it's difficult to fold AK against that guy but AK versus almost everything else is not that big of a favorite: f.e. 30% against 70% is nice, but still u lose 3 out of 10 times so it can happen!
With AA u are against EVERY card minimum 80% in front.

The call itself wasn't bad, but there is always a chance u will lose.

I would have done exactly like you did and call for sure with AK and probably with A10 also after seeing him robed me with J2 and after seeing him pushing 6 times as you said with crappy cards, you sure have to call AK that's just a sick story that would tilt any player ad make another think he rock lol

Of course I'd call AK and AT against guys like this ... The problem here is you had only 2 buy-ins for NL5 if im not wrong? You know it's possible that you lose a few PFAIs in a row even if you are like 70% favorite every time .. but generally those are like the best spots to make some profit Dollar Smile

If he was shoving every hand preflop, I would snap-call both of those hands. Unless it was 9/10 handed and there was still a lot of people left to act, in which case I'd only call the AK.

But short-handed - I'd snap them both.

One more thing...

Make sure you take notes on players like these. This way the next time you encounter him, it won't take you 3 or 4 hands to figure out what he's doing.

A slight variation on this is players that only play 3 or 4 hands, that just buy each multi way pot with a large bet pre flop, and then disappear. Without taking notes, you are losing equity against these players, but if you see them coming, it's easy money.

You could wait a little bit longer till your bankroll gets higher before jumping into the 0.05 games.
But even so, you are not going to call with your stack such bets preflop, one time after another Smile
As you realised you can lose the money in a snap and always faster than you won it.
Better luck next time.

For me is just the classic of rigged poker. The play was fair for a while and than a dude came in take a lot of cash with crap cards and run from the table.Everyone is frustrated, near to tilt and the show must go on.Good luck next time

there is nothing more than luck, i won many times with 2 7!! cards are random all the time, and the winner will be the last who re-raise ( happens many times)

My 2 cents Not calling with A10 like other posters said, wait for better hands. AK is marginal as well according to Harrington on cash games AK is not a hand to call all ins with generally. However if you observe the player going in all in a few times in a row then I would probably call as well with AK but not if there are lots to act after. The reason is you are calling all ins with drawing hands you have nothing and the AK is a slight underdog at best to a pair and a dog against AA and KKs your best result is Ax when you have him dominated.

Saying that I played in the Jonathan Ross freeroll and was 200 from the bubble and I 3 bet the button with AK and he called I shoved on a QJx flop (it was a stop and go move) and he flipped over A8 you guessed it 8 on the turn blank on the river and I go out in 402 place. Would have doubled up there nicely. But that was a tourney and not a cash game.

Oh.. That's sick, man... A/k is a loose hand, in my opinion.
Very good English for a Bulgarian! What other jobs do you have?

Hi 4_the_W,

Thank you for your kind words!

Well I worked five years in Spain at the sector of tourism. In the past I worked for the online poker industry like a Help Desk Agent at the Spanish Department. I worked for the IBM also at the Spanish Department - Specialist Logistics. I speak English, Spanish, Russian and my native language - Bulgarian.

In September I will receive from the university a Diplom Bachelor Degree of Tourism. After that I will study one more year to receive a Master Degree Diplom of International Business. Every summer I work at the sector of tourism at the summer resort, near the Black Sea - Sunny Beach.
The other seasons I study and I play a lot of online poker. Smile

The huge winter & spring vacation has finished and next month I start the summer job, so I will not have the possibility to play a lot of online poker and to post a lot of here. So I have 30 days more for online poker and after that I start the hard job with tourists worlwide! Sad

I hope, I answered your question.

Good luck at the tables and take care!

Best regards,
Peter7878

Thank you all guys for your replies. That helped me so much. Today I am happy, because I won $4.50 from The Daily Edge. I finished at the 30th position.
