Most people asked themselves "Why?" when they first started playing poker, myself included. I know why I love poker- it's because it's a form of mental stimulation. With all the tournaments and no-limit games, a player can earn thousands. Poker is not only a form of entertainment, it's a way to make some serious money!
On the surface, poker may seem like a gambler's game, but it really isn't. With enough practice and sufficient knowledge, you can make money from poker, just like I did. You can either set aside a few hours each week and earn a few extra dollars, or you can give the game your undivided attention and make it your primary source of income. You'll also need a measure of patience to turn poker into a career.
Playing poker also presents an intellectual challenge, even though it's a game of chance. The intellectual workout varies from player to player; some of us (me included) see as the heart of the game, and others take delight in reading their opponents' hands. Good poker players get their thrills from learning how to manipulate the system to their advantage.
I also like poker because of its social aspects. Poker is a very social game- players sit at the table and play and talk for hours. Playing poker offers you a chance to play your favorite game and make new friends at the same time.
Another reason I like poker so much is that there's no limit to what can be achieved. There's always a higher-money table, another tournament to go to, and more notoriety to gain. You can choose to play around the kitchen table and not risk that much, or you can go "all in" and reach the World Poker Tour or the WSOP.

The main reason why I love poker so much is because it is so wonderfully complex. I don’t think that the true level of complexity is fully appreciated by anyone who plays poker. Even when you know the game to a very high level then there is still a greater level of understanding still to be discovered. The online poker game is evolving and evolving very quickly. In many aspects then the game has evolved and many of the players who were playing for a living a few years ago have suffered.

When I see players at the ring tables where I sit from Ukraine, Belarus or Russia I leave the table immediately!
They are very dangerous and lots of huge bluffing. But this is not a good sign to use copy/paste for your first post at The bankrollMob. You can accumulate 10 points in less than that.
why I love poker is not a really hard question. In fact the difficulty here is to find the write answer. So many reason to like poker. As you said, the money you can make is for sure a huge chunk of the answer but the mental game that it is is also a part of the answer
I love poker cause that's a game where you can always improve yourself. Don't seem like it for someone that don't play this game but it need so much skill to become a good player. Skill and patience
