Hey guys,
When the tourney's on PS crashed I was trying to enter the $2.2 turbo 6max and suddenly noticed I am playing a $55 tourney with R + A. Lucky for me both the tournament are paused so I'll probably get the money back because of that. Either way I send an e-mail to support telling them about that. I never entered a tournament above $11 with a direct buy-in so they will believe me, I hope.
I'm planning to sit out the whole tournament in case the tournament resumes.

There was a problem with the server when I logged in. And I wanted to register to the $2.20 NL Hold'em game. I clicked OK and suddenly I found myself on the $55 Hold'em game. So or it was a misclick or I clicked right but because of the server the games appeared incorrectly.
I hope I get a refund for it. I've decided to sit out. In the mail I received they told me only (quote): We will be considering refunds for materially affected players. "Materially affected" means you missed a considerable number of hands and lost a significant portion of your chip stack due to blinds and antes.
wow that's strange but I'm pretty sure pokerstar is embarrass with the situation and won't complain too much about refunding their player. Do you have acess to your account right now? and as teddybear ask, are you sure they took 55$ out of your account or have the bug made you enter a 55$ entry tourney for 2,20$

The bug made me enter a 55$ entry instead of a $2.20 one. Something changed in the software which made me click the wrong button I think (don't ask me how - it was a matter of seconds)... Now just hope their gonna give me the money back. They can take the FPP I earned from it as well, just want the 55 dollars.
ok like, I picture, 55$ tourney was right on top or below the 2,20 tourney and you clicked and aumatically enter the tourney? So you comfirm that the 55$ have been take uot of your bankroll? and was it a late registration? how many hand have you been involved in before it crashed?... I'm not so sure anymore about your case but I really hope you to get refund. Afterall, got to blame the bugging software

G'day mates
I am totally interested in this one. First a $2.20 tournament is a micro level game and the highest buy in at that level is like $4.40. The $55 buy in tournament is considered a medium level game which is two full tabs over from the micro tab. I really can see how this kind of mistake can actually happen. The only thing I can figure is you was looking at a $55 buying game and tried to join into one of its satelight tournaments and instead of clicking join satelight you just hit the register button which means you was really telling it to register you into the main $55 tournament. I once did this and they told me the mistake was mine and that they was NOT responsible when players make this kind of mistake and they are right. It was a costly mistake for me but I never forgot the lesson I learned since. Never ever made that mistake again. Good luck to you mate. I hope it works out for you but will be surprised if it does.

Oh yeah this is exactly what I ment, I forgot to mention it lol. Way to go for a good guess! It was exactly above the $2,20 tourney and I was sure I clicked on that one but it led me to the $55. I couldn't believe my eyes.
------------ Yep, $55 are out of my account. It was a late reg and it was exactly on the same time when the software crashed when I registered.

Hey mate!
This is really a painful mistake, but it can happen to everyone. They really didn't gave you a refund? Did you have to wait for 3 days? I need to, after sending them a mail about a possible refund of that tournament. I will write here the outcome.

That's wired... wonder if you played a MTT with buy-in of $109 and if you have only 1 BB and the server restarted if they givie your buy-in back... NO WAY... they just want your money they don't care if you really know to play poker or if you live from poker... pay them fee and lose your money.

Thats a but luck for sure. But probably the tournament changed position like they always do according to time and seats filled when its a sng and you clicked the wrong one. Always check before hitting the reg button what game you have clicked on. I hope they will refund you, though the rules you mentioned say the other way.

well this is right only if you sort your option taht way... if not, all the tourney appears whatever the buy-in is. You've been smart enough to check the micro tourney only

Well mate I play tournament at every level it is just that I want to know exactly what game buy in range i am looking at so i used the tab sort feature to help avoid costly personal mistake. Learned from the past

Heeeey mobsters.
I just woke up and entered my mail. Guess what: Pokerstars gave my the refund back. They recognized there was a problem because of the server issues (+ I sat out whole the tournament) and gave my money back. So happy right now, with $55 more bankroll you can do a lot in poker. I Pokerstars.

That's great news rafiko. Gives me hope i'll get my refund.
Registered for a $1.10 30 min right after the update the other day but it never opened. The clock was running behind at the time and it was still registering people 10 mins after it should have started (should be no late reg for timed tourneys)
I never got to sit down and all i got was a pop up telling me i'd finished!
Got a mail telling me would take up to 72 hours for them to look into the same as you did and that obviously they had a lot to go through!
It's only $1.10 but if i'm going to lose i'd at least like to play a hand

cool...it was a wise move to sitout the whole tourney- they probably thought that u had problems all the way till the final chip. so far whenever i had any problems with stars, they all have been solved with a positive outcome my way- so yeah big thumbs up for stars support & their way of handling such issues
