I would've probably folded... but that depending on my mood , the big stack's position , history etc. I'd say it would've been something like 50/50 , call / not call.
even if it's the bubble and you don't want to be the player ending your tourney on the bubble, I think that you clearly have to push on top of big stack raise. Big stack is raising trying to isolate the pushing short stack but don't necessarelly represent a monster hand. He's just playing his stack... if you don't go with QQ, I wounder what it'll take you

well you have got to fold there, haven't you ? i mean if the short stack loses you are ITM,if you call and you both go out you are ITM but if you call and he wins,no money for you. if you fold and the short stack wins, well you can always ship them next hand.
don't forget Alkazoo the big stack usually scoops them up in those situations.

well i did consider folding .... not interested in min cashing though ... but i did have a decent stack for after the bubble as well ... in fact i had more than i normally have when iv reached this situation ... last night i pushed 5,5 all in with 6500k chips with 38 players left one was all in in the big blind another on another table had 750 chips .. i got called by big stack who had A,k but missed and i hit full house lol giving me around the 15k mark and i went on to win so i knew i was sitting pretty at the time .... But to win this tourney or get to the final table the bigger the stack you have the better ... so i decided to push ... worst case i bust out and loose $1.10 i would have got for cashing ... and if i won id be in a very good position to final table so this is what happens ...

well i won a nice big pot ... which was great as i got no hands after that and was down to 38k when we reached the final 10 ... got 10,J on the button and first two players to act fold so i push ... sb folds and BB calls with A,9 suited and flops a A .. turn J to rub salt im my wounds lol and then a river J lol lol game on ... and now made final table
few hands later sb min raises me in BB i have 2,2 flop a 2 he bets i flat call turn he checks i check river he bets i re him all in as board paired on turn giving me a full house he calls with trip 6 so now sitting on 127k loose a few more players .... when sb pushes all in and i have A,6 suited i call his 52k push leaving me 94k and he shows J,Q we both miss and i win pot ...203k now and few hands later down to final 3 ... few hands into that i get Q,9 suited in BB ... sb min raises and i call ... flop A high two diamonds and he instant pushes ... i feel he pushed to quick and dosent have a A so call leaving me 8k lol and read it right he had a pair of 9s but turn comes a 9 and no diamond so he wins and im more or less out and loose on next hand .... and take home $18.30 for 3rd But am very happy with that ... a 1st last night for $33.29 and now a third for $18.30 tonight cant complain ... and considering that flush draw hand i cant see myself doing anything else other than calling it ... these are very tough games to play and im lucky when i cash i generally get deep ... only down side is its hard to cash them consistantly Have played 74 of these over last few weeks for total of $37 have cashed only 6 but for a total of $95.24 ... which were two wins a third and and a few minish cashes
------------ edit ... got the totals wrong 74 games for $37 and 7 cashes for $113.54 ......

G'day mate
Online the bubble is the most dangerous spot there is during any tournament it seems. I would almost say that I get a top tier starting hand of Jacks or better 50-60% of the time.
My advice fold them all unless you are truly short stacks and have to make a stand or get blinded out. I can not even tell you how many times I ended up being the bubble because of pocket Aces or Kings. Now I fold everything just before the button. Get into the money anf then worry about the final table.

Normally i would of folded without thinking. But I'm sick of min cashing (had quite a few) so lately i would definitely be calling in that spot. Like you said your not interested in min cashing. So i would of went for it too because you never know when another playable hand is coming and i always seem to go card dead at this stage of the tourney.

That is the biggest question to answer imho.
If your target is to just get itm and make your money back then it's a fold but if you want to go really deep and aim for big money on FT then you have GOT to play it. If you suck out you suck out but if not then you will be in a far better position to go deep.
I've shoved with worse on the bubble (and no i don't mean 10 3 off! lol), sometimes it wins sometimes not (just like at any other time) but i do know that there is no chance of making it to the end of a mtt without a bit of fortune and making the best of the cards when you get them.

I would just shove. As have been said, you never know when the next playable hand will be. Also, I don't like playing for say 2 hours just for a min cash, that just feels like a huge waste of time.

Shove, anybody who would fold is a fag. This is the 3rd best hand in poker. If you don't shove you're fag and should get used to min cashing. This is the chance to go quite a bit deeper. So as I just said, anybody who would fold is a total fag.

Well that depends on how much minimum cash was. If it wasnt an amount worth getting for your time then you go and call otherwise you fold. Thats what i would have done. They said its a waste of time playing for 2 hours and getting the minimum cash. How about playing for 2 hours and getting absolutely nothing? Is that better? And while you are almost in the payroll. Nice thing it turned out to be the best thing to do there

i'm a fag
probably it sounds stupid, but i hate to play for few hours to bust out with empty pockets...min cash is more than min cash to me- because it means that my time wasn't wasted completely... so i would've waited for the min cash for sure.
so what if it's a great starting hand...you can win with crap & you can loose with aces...i'm pretty sure i would find a decent spot to "invest" my chips later in the tourney...

Most people say they play it for recreational purposes, so playing for nothing shouldn't mean nothing unless you're a jew or a reptilian. Plus in this case the min cash is 50c. If you're not prepared to lose 50c on qq you need to seriously question yourself in my opinion. I could understand if it was a £50 buyin.
