i don't know how many of you read my thread the other day about the marbella freeroll on stars. Anyway to cut a long story short,i ended up in the final 3,where only the winner got the prize ( flights and accomodation for 2, an $1100 entry fee and 500 pounds spending money.) well we did a deal and although stars wouldn't sanction it we agreed between ourselves that 1st would get 200 pounds and 2nd and 3rd would get 150 pounds. so i log in to stars tonight and i see i've had 150 pounds ( $225 )added to my account so although he could have kept it ,he was a man of his word and paid the both of us. it just shows there are men who keep their word and i would just like to compliment him on it. his user on stars is Eye Rai$e if any of you meet him treat him well please.

Wow, I've gotta say, I wouldn't expect him to keep his word. There are just so many a**holes on the internet these days that an honest man is a rare one.
Congrats to you for getting that cash! Bummer tho that you didn't get that sweet 1st place prize! Did you end up 2nd or 3rd?

If that was me, I'd have played that one out to the bitter end! That's a really nice prize package!
That being said,... Sure is nice to see the guy honour his word! He could have just skipped off with the cash. The internet can be an ugly place at times...
I wonder if PokerStars would have intervened if the guy actually DID welch on the deal...

Congratulation to you for doing so well. Hope you win it all next time. Glad you was dealing with a honorable player. Your story made me smile at the idea that there are still a few of us honest poker players left. It really made me feel go to see you got paid what you was promised. be cool and good luck to you at the tables.
Yeah. That´s also one of the reasons why I think he paid the $150. Because he had won such a big price. I Also think he would feel bad in the tournament knowing that he hadn´t kept his word.

That's really cool Teddy and it says a lot about what I like to believe in people and always give an individual one chance to prove their honesty before raining on their parade. That's why, if I could, I more then likely lone anyone 10 or 20 dollars if they ask without bashing the person for asking. This is how we gain trust, start friendships and one has the opportunity to earn respect.
The only problem on my end I can't play at any of the site, but CARBON for the most part so it's hard to assist people.
