Hey all! I will be starting this challenge on the 1st of June!
I'm not a HUSNG player and I'm not very disciplined so this is definitely going to be a challenge I have been reading articles and watching video's and think i could do this!
I will be starting off playing $2 games and moving up the levels every time i have 25 buy ins and going back down when i dip below 18 (I think) I don't know what site it will be on yet but i will let you know when i decide. It might be a slow process because i don't really like playing everyday and i don't like playing when i think i have to. So i don't think i will be playing more than 10 games a day. I might do tho, i guess it all depends how i'm feeling.
I have never done a challenge like this before so if anyone has any suggestions or tips that would be appreciated. I will also run a competition with a $10 prize for anyone who gets closest to when i finish the challenge. (but don't post your guesses here. I will set up another thread for that)

Great idea mate.... hope it goes well
As you've pointed out you're not a big HU player, I think it will take you a while to get the 'feel' for them. Watching videos and reading articles is obviously all great preparation, but nothing beats experience!
Discipline is KEY when doing something like this, as I'm sure you know - so make sure you stick to your guidelines, and don't let any (inevitable) downswings put you off.
BTW... could be wrong, but I think your age has just changed from 27 to 28, so hope you had a good birthday ...I turn 28 myself in 4 days.

Thanks bud! It will just be 1 vs 1.
I think if you can play 4 or more player i think you can make more proffit... If you win one you can lose 2 and still you have $ from winnings I just hope you finish with a lot of money on your BR, nevermind what will you play. http://sd.keepcalm-o-matic.co.uk/i/keep-calm-and-win-th...

Thanks for that mate. Yeah, as long as I stick to the brm I should be ok
Nah mate my birthday is October. It was at 29 and went to 28 couple months ago because I mixed the date and day around when I first signed up but admin fixed it.
------------ Oh. And happy birthday for four days time

hey bullet first of all good luck hope you will finish your challenge in one go (a malfunction in software, which would result in $500 credited to your account instead of $2). anyways i have this question: what if your challenge is not gonna end in say 4 years? it's very realistic to just keep your roll withing your given $50-500 range for long time, just winning some, losing some...do you have a deadline set...

That is a good question pochui and a very realistic scenario. I guess if that's the case I will have to set the deadline to one year. I hope it's takes no where near that long but it's definitely a possibility. Thanks for mentioning it
------------ I'm not overly confident with this challenge I perhaps should of played a bit more of these before I committed to doing this #regret lol. You never know tho it could go well and I will only be losing $50 so shouldn't be too bad
Good luck me
------------ Hey all! I've decided that i will be doing this challenge on Carbon Poker! I signed up Originally through BRM so they should get something out of this as well Looks like you get 35% cashback, So that should go nicely towards my goal.
Will be starting as soon as the servers are back up (maintenance)

Hey people! Sorry I haven't updated before now, just I haven't played as many games as I would have liked. It hasn't Been going great (as pretty much expected) I'm getting a better feel for them now tho and I'm beginning to develop my own way of playing them.
I've played over a 130 games so far and lost more than I've won. I think the difference is about 7 now so not too bad. It was worse Variance is pretty big and I've lost a lot of games when I've been totally dominating the other persons hand. But I've won quite a few the other way round. Hopefully I can get a good run going from now on and start making some profit
Thanks for reading and good luck on your own poker quest

Ok! here is a more accurate update. I didn't have my notepad at hand yesterday but i do now. I've played less than i thought. Games played: 128 Games won: 64 Games lost: 64 Caught up from yesterday as the gap from wins to losses was actually 7 so i got that bit right Bankroll is at $34.62
Wish i was getting rakeback so it wasn't so bad but i have to work off the 3000 points that i need to from getting a brm ndb from last year before i start getting rakeback. Bit of a nuisance but least I'm earning brm something

Ok, I haven't played any games for a while now because the time of day i can play, not many seem too. So I'm changing the challenge slightly. I'm going to be playing 6max cash from now on. Same Challenge rules just a different game. I hope you all don't mind (because it's tough, lol)
My Bankroll is $50.78 and all your guesses still stand

Good luck bullet....hope U win loads of money.... just wondering ....why U gave up the HU to change it to a 6 max???
For myself I never been a big fan of those HU games as I like to be seated with more people as chances are a lot bigger on a 6 or 9 mans table that there are Idiots among the players. And i love idiots.... ok they give U an occasionally Bad Beat , but overall U will win more against them then U loose.

I decided to give up on the HU because they just weren't filling up fast enough. Sometimes I would wait half an hour for a game and honestly, I just couldn't be arsed anymore
I think I have an edge at 6max cash so I believe I would be more likely to achieve my goal than I would in HUSNG's plus it should take a lot less time

naaah, i'm waiting until u change to "The Rigged Place" BRM home games as the main source of income for your challenge i can only imagine how crappy it feels to wait for an hour to get one game going oh and then lose it in first hand with AA's to wait for another hour hahahaha i would bang my head against the wall
