Alright so I took a shot with a ticket I won to a $15 satellite to the $250K Gtd tournament on PartyPoker. Top 50 got the $215 ticket and I managed to finish in that top 50 so I received my ticket, I unregistered for the tournament (since I'm unable to play the next time it is) and got the freeroll ticket so I can now register to any of those events that take place on sundays.
Needless to say I'm thrilled about this! I've always been a micro stakes grinder and now I have the opportunity to mix it up with "the big boys" so we'll have to see what happens when I finally get around to playing it!

nice one mate! but i'm curious, can you use that as $T to buy-in to smaller mtts or only for another one of the same value? Either way hope u score big gl

They have a tournament on CARBON every Saturday also that pays out $215 tics to the top 50. the way you enter is by earning 50 VIP points in a week which can be done easily if you play 5 of the early $33 tic games. They have 4 a day where each game is worth 10 points which is a good deal since it's usually averages a $1 to a point.
Anyway I couldn't get in to the one today due to family activities which of course supercedes poker events. My only deal is I only figured this out about a month ago so really wanted to play this week since I've been doing fairly well on these tic games. Actually won some of the $33 tics and messed up today when I was planning to use one of these tics. I unfortunately didn't select the option to use one of my tics so it took the $33.00 from my BR. To add to the pain I couldn't finish this game due to like I said family activities. Walked out on two games today one in action and the other was even around to start.
Hopefully I can make these losses up tonight. If the wife allows it! lol

I can't. But if I save the ticket I already have and then qualify in again, I'll get 215 $T to do whatever I like with

Unlucky there Green! I've done that mistake of not selecting the ticket as well and it can actually really hurt your bankroll!

nice one there Erru the best i did as regards to winning tickets is a $109,twice i cashed one and actually played the other. Although i wish i hadn't i went out really early in that comp and for some strange reason i was nervous in that one. Maybe it was the buy-in that got to me anyway it will be a while before i try anything like that again. gl to you with what you decide to do with your ticket.
congrats bro wish you a great tournament when you'll finally be able to play it. Hope your not gonna be unable to play it on every sunday due to work or othe obligation like it. Do you know how long you can keep this ticket without playing the tourney? is it like forever or is there a time frame?

That's my strategy as well, only for the $15 freeroll qualifiers for the tournament you've just won. I've won that about 17 times (T$221 left and a ticket), which makes it my biggest source of T$...
Did you play for this $215 ticket more often? Or did you win it on the first try?
Anyway, congratulations; that's a great result! I hope you'll do it again for those T$...

Alakazoo: I Can keep the ticket for however long time I want, there is no expiery date.
Pochui: I'll host a freeroll in case I score big, But it'll take a wile until I'm able to play due to work :/
Marqis: I've done that myself quite a lot since I'm rarely able to play that much on weekends. I've used the $15 ticket 3 Times in total, twice when I sas fairly new to poker and just donked into getting a ticket so obviously it didn't hold up then. But since I've gotten more experienced I've only used it ones, this time.
All: another problem I have with the $250K is that even if I'm Free from work on the Sunday I need to have the late shift on the monday since the tourney generally ends at 2.30 am :/

Well done getting the ticket. I hope you will be able to cash out big time with it.
I remember trying to get one myself too, through the West Europe qualifiers. I was getting the first ticket, but no matter what couldnt finish not in the top 50 not even in the top 100 with it. So at a point i gave up lol.

Gratz for your 215$ ticket! Really a nice winning for a micro level player and a big chance to win a lot in a tourney without manics. Wish you good luck to reach a itm price place and a big pot!

I'm in that tourney now. I was doing REALLY well until just now when I got my aces cracked by AJ. I'm down to 1200 chips with 250/500 blinds. 160 get ITM and there are currently 342 players left so I'm not really feeling that good about it at the moment. I'll probably just try an all-in with any ace to try and double up, I don't really have a choice in the matter I think...
------------ Just up to 6700 chips, I guess it's true what they say: A chip and a chair. Let's just see if I can hold on long enough to get ITM!
------------ I'm out. 294th place, facking retard that has donked around on my table A LOT just sent me on my way. My AJ with a AJ7 flop got cracked when he pulled an all-in on the flop, I called and he showed 44, river gives him a facking 4!!
Seriously, it really SUCKS when you know that you play really well and this FACKING CRAP happens...
I might be overreacting but I've never even played a $15 tourney without winning a sating in for it before and now on a $215 tournament and that crap happens, completely unbelievable. Facking sh!t!!
