I recently qualified to this event through a PokerStars freeroll, and a few of you have been asking for details... So here's what I know so far...
Day 1A starts this Friday, 28 June at 2pm UK time and runs for 8 hours. Day 1B starts Saturday, 29 June at 2pm UK time and also runs for 8 hours... all the remaining players from day 1A & 1B go through to day 2, which starts at 2pm Sunday 30 June, and runs until it ends.
Each day 1 has a 200 player max - and the buy-in is £250+£25 entry fee, so the total prize pool will be £100,000.
When this event ran 3 months ago, around 70 players made it through to day 2. I am unsure how many places are paid, but I guess it will be around 60 with prizes ranging from ~£300 - ~£20,000.
The blinds start at 25/50 and go up every 30 minutes. The starting stack is 20,000 - so there's a lot of room for play, and no need to take any silly risks.
There will likely be a fair few pros in the field, but probably none that anyone has heard of... as they will all be at the WSOP by now
That's about all I know right now - I'll let you know anything else as I find it out, and I'll use this thread to update progress when I'm playing.

Needless to say, if I do well - there'll be a BRM celebration freeroll hosted by me...
Oh, and because I won this seat through a TALKsport freeroll, and not a PokerStars freeroll, I am responsible for my own travel and accommodation (which is a bit of a bitch) - so I'm trying to see if I can get some money out of the lovely folk at PokerStars to help me out there. Not sure how much luck I'll have there, but it's worth a try at least. I'll let you know how that went when I get a reply. I emailed them yesterday, and I haven't heard back from them yet - which I'm taking as a good sign (they didn't just straight away say NO)

good luck when you get there yout i really hope you do well,and if you get interviewed don't forget to mention BRM also i hope stars comes up with something for you,you never know they might sign you up.

*Day 2 actually starts at Midday, not 2pm.
Also just read that the winner gets entry into the UKIPT Grand Final, where you can win a 2014 UKIPT Pass - which lets you play all the UKIPT events next year for free... would be a pretty cool bonus on top of the £20k
...and thanks teddy! I really hope I do get interviewed, because it will likely mean I've made the final table - and I'll be sure to mention BRM ....Shame I don't have a BRM cap, or t-shirt I could wear. Oh well....

yout well done on winning the freeroll I take it was the last one of the series? I missed that one unfortunately!
There may be a slight possibility I can get down there so may come to give you support. failing that I will be looking at the live feed/updates perhaps you can PM your name so I can look out for you. If I lived closer to the venue I'd offer to put you up.

It was the last one, yeah... There were 14 (I think) altogether.... I played every one - and not once got put on the bounty's table. I made the final table 3 times, finishing 7th and 3rd before taking it down at the last attempt...
I don't mind people knowing my real name (as I'll be famous soon anyway ), so I'll post it here so anyone who wants to can keep track of how I'm doing...

I just saw your other post and this will be your first live event. If you can would be worth entering a tourney tonight or wednesday at a local casino. I see Rubicon in Wolverampton has nightly tourneys if that is anywhere near you?
First time I played, live play took some getting used to.
Its not a problem at all you'll be fine but it wouldn't hurt to have a little experience beforehand if possible.

The Rubicon is about 2 miles from my house - and I have played a few tournaments in there before... I've played quite a lot of live poker, but never an "official event" - that was the point I wanted to get across.

Day 1A kicked off about 15 minutes ago... just less than 24 hours until my start time - exciting stuff
If anyone can find any up to date commentary/description/coverage on this - please do let me know - I've had a very quick look around, and can't see anything.
------------ I'll be leaving for London in around 25 minutes.... I'll try to update as often as I can - I think there's a 20 minute break every 2 hours, so I'll let everyone know how it's going if I can.
