for all those who cry about loosing with pocket aces, this is a proper badbeat good enough to win a bad beat jackpot yet not entirely unexpected (of course someone has the ace i got chips in on the flop).
also im pretty sure its the most common type of badbeat. i was in the top 10 when it happened.

well it feels always bad to loose with a straight flush....

But it s a std call of the player with A Spade postflop , he has chances to get the nutflush...

and the turn even gives him a royal flush ...

still it suckes...

better luck next time

I'm curious how the hand went down, i mean after flop you were all all in already?

Well maybe if you tke some drugs ... yo can see it coming clearer and clearer...

I would suggest some cannabis would help to see the light and the jackpot

lol wont like my reply then ... because to get all chips in on that flop cant to me be a bad beat when someone hits a flush even if it is a royal one ...
that flop would be the perfect reason to fold ... if you pushed all in on the flop makes no sense and if you raised and got re all in .. to me your still not getting a bad beat ... just a beat

but have to say nice looking hand

yeah i called for the big blind which was a bad move gven my position got round to aces on small blind min raises and flat call from big blind, so i call again to see the flopflop a flush aces shoves for 8k, AK goes allin over the top and i snap call. so i wasnt on a straight flush when i got my chips in, just a flush so it wasnt that bad a beat really

As fly said i have seen lots of players chasing with their A to hit the 1 card nut flush.

Dont you need both pocket cards in the winning hand, in order to qualify for the
bad beat jackpot?

fair point but my point is it would still of won a bad beat jackpot, would love to see the manager arguing that point of view.

aalso mabee i should of folded preflop, but i dont think in my posistion with the flush on the flop, folding that flop would make any sence even to a big shove.

no so long as you use both cards to lose i think

Yeah - this wasn't a "bad beat" in the sense that it was really unlikely... any spade would have done it...

It was a bad beat in the official sense - straight flush losing vs royal flush, but as Mober mentioned... both players involved need to have both their hole cards playing to qualify for a bad beat jackpot.

Yeah, I'd have to say that would get my goat. To have the low end of the straight flush and the odds that the Ace of spades is in one of two players hands and to make it worse there's a total of the 3 aces in the hand. Go figure! Bad beat is being curtious that's just getting pooped on.

OUCH!!!!!

To me,...THAT is the ULTIMATE in bad beats.....

It's tough enough to even get a high end straight flush,...let alone a Royal....AND, have the one guy with aces thinking he's got it ....

Then,....the ONE and ONLY card someone would have to have to beat you,....one guy has.... Confused
