In a recent Twitter post Daniel Negreanu has shown the community just how much money he's made at the felt this year. Outlining his vital stats for 2013, Daniel's record demonstrates that it's tough to make a profit on the live circuit. Indeed, over the course of 51 events Daniel has cashed 11 times and generated a total profit of $944,126 from $1,842,206 in overall cashes. On a personal level the stats shine favourably on Daniel, however, they certainly show that to cut it on the pro circuit you have to be prepared to invest a serious amount of money.

It sbtypical ... people only remember the big prices you win but never think of the times you win nothing....
If you wanne be a pro you have to invest and be aware of up- and downswwings of tour bankroll.

It's not bad at all. Considering the number of professionals entering those events someone making almost $1M in profit in just a bit over half a year is a great result so far. How many ppl can claim doing that in 7 months work?

It's an ROI of around 200% -- Great in anyone's books. (Almost exactly the same as my online record, just on a sliiiiiightly bigger scale)
Here's a thought though.... How much of the ~$900k profit do you think he's spent flying around to all these tournaments, and no doubt living the high life while he's there?

I don't really want anything from anyone, but I really wouldn't mind hitting the lottery here in Indiana tonight. The state lotto is up to 10.5 million and that's a lot for the state alone. I know if I turn my 10 dollars into 10 million I'll give you a dollar ryan.
To be honest I'd be traveling around to meet several of the mobsters in person and having a good time.

so what do you mean it's so tough to make a profit: daniel clearly showed to everyone that he made almost $1 million profit, and you are saying it's hard to profit? as someone mentioned above: ROI of 200% doesn't look too shabby...imo statement that it's hard to make profit in live poker would be true if he showed $1 profit from his 51 events
