Phil Ivey may have started his own poker site in the last few months, but that hasn't stopped him from becoming the face of Jim Ryan's latest project Ryan, the former CEO of bwin.party, has spawned Pala Interactive which is a new site aimed at capitalising on the "next generation" of online poker in the US. Offering online poker and casino games in California, Pala Interactive will be backed by the Pala Band of Mission Indians. Having formed Pala Interactive LLC in February 2013, the online site has now recruited Phil Ivey as their brand ambassador. Although he's connected with another site, Ivey will lend his image to Pala Interactive and help take them forward as iGaming regulation continues to spread across California.

I gueesss if someone wants to use or reference your name as a promo to gain business on one's poker site there must be something about the individuals status. I agree, not a big Ivey fan, but if someone is using his name there must be something to gain. As we all know the guy is a well known figure in the poker world. Look, like him or not we're talking about him.

I'm not a fan of Phil Ivey either! He could be a nice guy in real life away from poker,...but to me he's the ultimate wiesel when it comes to poker...... but in reality, that's exactly what poker is all about....out-wieselling everybody else to become the King of Wiesels...
There are LOTS and LOTS of folks who DO like him though.... I imagine it will work out for that poker outfit...
