ive just won the fixed limit hourly tourney! and let me tell you, it was a long journey. i was just about to give up when the cards started turning in my favor. i wasnt playing the big hands like AK, AA, and the like. mostly connectors and low pairs brought a good board. i was short stack for a while at the final table in the last 5 then 4 then 3 thats when i started fighting for first. 107$ for my efforts and quite an experience since i dont normally play FIXEDLIMIT. moslty razz

congrats- excellent job always nice to hear brm'er kick everyones asses. i played one of those too (still have couple of tickets left)- and must admit that you took excellent strategy, high pairs just don't work most of the time in fl with most of the players limping in...u have no idea where you stand and should u do...anyways congrats again- gl in the future

great result there marty i played in 2 yesterday and i got $3.40 in one and crashed out the other (still 1 ticket left) they are a bit hard to play i think because most of the hands there is 4 or 5 players seeing the flop and they just keep calling,if you haven't got a very strong hand then one of them always gets there. still i will try again today with my last ticket.

I dont like fix limit games. Besides being slow and taking forever to finish, you have way more callers in every hand. Not to mention that raise, reraise thing in every single hand till max is reached, drives me crazy, lol

Nice to hear that you won some of those tournaments actually
To me it's a bit weird actually the decision that stars took to make this limit games more known, i mean i do not think they get the same amount of rake on a similar stake compared to NL or PL

Getting to a final table is one thing,....and that alone is very exciting, but to get there and pull off a FIRST place...??? Different thing alltogether...
Tidy little profit there my friend! Makes it all seem worthwhile...
It makes you think of the time one day when you'll get there in a BIG money game and walk with THOUSANDS,...or even TENS of thousands of dollars....
