I always wonder what folks' usernames are about... There ARE some interesting or funny ones out there. Some are obvious....
My username is simply the name of my long gone Old Family Red Nose Pit Bull. His name was Demo,...but one of my buddies called him DemoDawg. He was a little 40lb terror to ANYTHING on four legs. Had to muzzle him where-ever we went for a walk. Lucky for me he DIDN'T have a taste for humans,...but anything else,....squirrels, cats, other dogs, cows, horses,....or anything else that didn't have wings or fins!
Too bad my playing style doesn't live up to THAT, or I'd likely do much better at poker...
I figured it was a good poker name, but it was already taken on PokerStars, so I just added a gy at the end and voila....
I was going to put a pic of 'Triumph The Insult Comic Dog' (from Conan O'Brian show) up as my avatar, but settled on that pic of Beaker,...because I think he has a GREAT poker face....

Iam using 2 names aswell on stars I use the same name as here mies730 , mies is an abbreviation of my firstname wich is Michel ( for all u english speaking people thats a girls name ....I know..) . But since I was born everyone calls me Mies ( they must be just to lazy to speak out the full name) the numbers behind it ...730, refers to the year I was born 1973... ( aldow sometimes I feel like it could be 1873) When I made a hotmail account ( years ago) mies73 was taken so I added a 0 and used it ever since.
On Ft I use Oopssosossorry as screen name, and the origin of that name is a funny story.
A couple of years ago when I played mostly live poker, there was a live tournament in a casino nearby. With my best mate and his brother in law ( who was and is a poker pro) I went to the casino that night and registerd for the tournament. During the first hour or so I got nothing but crap and I didnt get to see one flop. While I took a cigarette break my pals brother in law comes to me and tells me that if I keep playing like this, I wont come far in the tournament , so aacording to him I should loosen up. As he was the pro, I did take his advice very serious and started playing more hands........ Lady Fortuna really liked me that night and everything I did , had as result that I got more and more chips. So I started to get overconfident and played nearly every hand......
Strange thing was that I still won all hands..... Flips went fell in my advantage , if I had a lower pair I hit my set or got a flush or straight. So I ended up saying sorry a lot.
I made it like this to the final table with my pals brother in law and 7 others. On the Ft my luck just continued ( and again I had to say sorry a few times) So eventually there were 3 of us left.
An older gentleman, the brother in law and me .....and I was in the chiplead. After playing a few hands I get 2 3 ( both hearts) on the BB. the button raises, the small blind reraises and for some unknown reason I call and the button decides to go all inn, sb goes all inn aswell. Without using any of my (6) braincells I call aswell.
Cards are shown SB ( Br in Law) shows AA, button( older GM) shows KK and when I turn my cards and show the 2 3 , the whole casino looks at me if I have a mental disfunction ( and I did )
FLOp 2 5 4 .....Turn 3 ( sb looking happy as he made straight) then the River OMG another 3
So I started saying sorry again hahaha ( after I got some remarks) and won the tournament. When we arrived back at my friends place , we were still full of adrenaline so we decided to play some online poker. My pals B in L, had an account on FT and in those days they had a verry nice friends bonus so we made us an account. while doing so I had to go to the toilet and while I was emptying the bladder they finnished up my account and came up with the gayest name ever....
So when I came out of the toilet they had submitted the information and was my Tilt name oopssosossorry..... ( they even spelled it wrong extra s be4 sorry ,due to the bottle of Dimple)

hmmm...pochui- means under d1ck, my nick on stars is manpochui...which in reality means "i don't care" - that's because i created this account when i was just starting out in poker and i played just for the fun part of it and only freerolls...so was often going all in with all sorts of crap and that's where the nickname came in very handy...if someone would ask: what the hell are you doing...i replied: man pochui...i don't care...

My Nickname AlexandrosLM comes from my real name wich is Alex or Alexandru in romanian and some years ago someone Invited me to play poker on his Home Games Private Group on pokerstars wich name was "Last Man" so all from that group have "LM" tag...

Supposedly I don't look like a white person My name is Adam, after 9/11 because Saddam was on the news and i "don't look like a white person." Someone started calling me Saddam for a laugh and it stuck after that. It is my real nickname. I just put man on the end and a stupid picture to seem retarded when playing poker. But it backfires against me

Hello, Well, i dont have something with my name. Played World of warcraft, so i had to find a name. So i decided to press 5 times on the keyboard with eyes closed, and thats it ( i kept it because i made Undead Mage - horde Ftw ) . Tried to make something from it, but nah... i couldnt find anything. This name i have on pokerstars, and on FT i have - Tukuchimoto - , my other nickname in japanese*. Had / Have lots of nickanames .
My username da bears75 on pokerstars came from the NFL team the Chicago bears and there coach mike Ditka which was made fun of on the TV show Saturday night Live

I use to create nickname of something funny, like viktor bloom use isildur from lord of the rings... But don't understand why some PRO use his real name on poker sites, anyone can tell me? I think they use real name to scary the adversars

The MF is the initials of my name. The zero, is because I'm a nobody. Also play-on of the old racing game F-Zero, never actually played the game just liked the title and cover for it.

TigerAxL,...i use this nickname almost everywhere ,where it comes from?is simple Tiger is my astrological sign (aquarius in chinese is tiger )and AxL(sometimes i use it as a short nickname) came from my last name Alexandru ,but somehow i qwes i was inspired from a cartoon that i was waching in my childhood named A.T.O.M.

I havent a specific one that i am using. I mostly pick a new one every time and there are times that i choose by pressing randomly keys in the keyboard, when i keep getting the message that the password im choosing is in use

Some interesting stories as to how and where players came up with their nicknames so thought I'd tell mine.
I lived in Arizona between 2003 and 2009 and there's a rattlesnake called greenmohave or Mohave green rattler. The very first one I caught at least of this type bit me on the finger. MY hand and arm swollen up like three to four times it's normal size. I never seeked medical attention and went through some rough illnesses. Anyway I caught over 100+ rattlers in the5+ years I was there never to get bit again. I let them run loose in my work shop andf then had a giant cage where I'd keep some.
That's how I ended up with the nick of greenmohave!
