This could have turned out to be an expensive hand for me, if nothing had happened pre flop...
thanks for the update m@rqis - will ship the bounty ($5) to teddybears

ok next time i will do that (of course with the approval of the players themselves), actually thought that people know ~90% of the players...if i forget about this- do remind me in somewhere in the thread
Posted by marqis: One thing that was sort of new for me were the bounties. I had some opportunities with mediocre hands to call an all in pre flop, but decided to fold. I think that might have been a mistake, since the $5 prize would make the call +EV, even though I was almost certain to have a worse hand. In one instance losing the hand would not even have crippled my stack too bad.
Any insights on this anyone?
well i actually found myself in similar situation with yout (also $5 bounty), i had king and some crap, i believe off suit...really not the kinda hand you want to call an all-in, but i had ~4000, yout had a bit over 1K, so it was a really +ev call imo, would've called with any 2 cards (lost in the end). now when bounty has a big stack & you are faced an all-in having crap & put your tournament on the risk- that's a bit tricky...i would fold here, hoping to collect the bounty next time...i think if no raises upfront or min raise and bounty is in the hand- you must play with any crap- you might flop a monster and knock him out...that's all i though off
Thanx for a great night...I did had fun , even if I didnt make the final Table.
Hope to take part in future homegames, as I had fun on both other occasions.
@ Marqis....Do U remember the hand that U 4 betted me when I showed U the KQ ( with flop J K 4) I tought U had 44 , was I right???? or did I ,make a bad fold....only hand of the tournament I keep wondering about....
....remember one with an AA4 flop and my AK goes south to a 4's full

If I should die, think only this of me: That there's some corner of a foreign field That is for ever England. There shall be In that rich earth a richer dust concealed; A dust whom England bore, shaped, made aware, Gave, once her flowers to love, her ways to roam, A body of England's, breathing English air, Washed by the rivers, blessed by the suns of home. And think, this heart, all evil shed away, A pulse in the eternal mind, no less Gives somewhere back the thoughts by England given; Her sights and sounds; dreams happy as her day; And laughter, learnt of friends; and gentleness, In hearts a peace, under an English heaven.
