"runner runner" the new Movie from the writers of "Rounders" will be released in September this year. according to multiple sources Justin Timberrlake plays a Wizkid who pays his college tultlon by grinding an online poker site from costa rica,till he goes on an epic downswing and got the idea to beeing cheated. sound really interesting right?

yeah timeberlake aint my first choice either,but I hope that the story will make up for this. I'm just hoping that there will be no "Hollywood Poker" just like "Casino Royale"...... please no straight flush over straight flush or so,I can't stand this anymore

That looks quite good actually. JT is actually okay in a few things and he fits the college kid type in this. Affleck doesn't seem like a bad guy type though.
Still waiting for Rounders 2 which apparently Matt Damon & Ed Norton are "itching to make". Don't think I could bring myself to watch a film starring Justin Timberlake

i don't like that Ben Affleck all that much,even so i might give it a look to see what fantastical hands they dream up for the showdown ( if there is one )

By the trailer it doesn't look like much of an online poker movie. It's just poker that gets the story going and is then forgotten. Didn't look look like it's gonna be a good movie. Still gonna watch anyway

Maybe I'm just not as cynical as I was in my younger years, but I honestly don't mind JT in movies, can't say I'm a fan, but he doesn't really bother me either and for certain roles, he fits the part okay enough.

hey,...I'm with 'The Human' on this one.... Justin Timberlake,...although he came from one of those sickening 'Boy Bands',...had gone on to be an excellent actor as well as a musical entertainer,....AND comedian... Have you ever seen him on Saturday Night Live...? he's f'ing HILARIOUS...
I'm not much into his music,...but I will say it's VERY polished and well executed stuff...

All those poker movies are alike....the Hero wins in the end, bad guy loses.... I prefer The Big Game or any wsop coverage above films on poker.......

Defintely not Lance Bass, if i was i would have put an end to n-sync before they started! Agree about wsop and high stakes coverage being a better watch but rounders did have malkovich and Ed Norton so I can give it a pass

what about rounders 2? there have been numerous rumours that there will be a sequel,even edward norton admitted in an interview that he would like to do it.Anybody heard something new on that?
