There will be some changes for the 10th season of PokerStars European Poker Tour, which begins on August 26th in Barcelona, Spain. In other words, our business consultants thought we are not maximizing the profit we could make in these successful tournaments. It sounds like it is good for the pros who could get back in the game or just start after most of the crazy players are out. They probably expect more pros at the final stages and more attention to the tournaments

The European Poker Tour published details of their new payout structure for minimum cashes. They revealed each tournament would pay out between 13% and 15%, and that the minimum cash would always be at least 1.7x the buy-in (So at least €8,400 for an EPT Main Event).

How was it before. Is there any real difference between the new system and the old one? How is that compared with other world tours?
I guess they're trying to make their games more attractive against the competition, but I don't really understand the details, probably because I'm not playing or considering playing these tours.
