so i took the "megadeal" offer from BRM and deposited a min amount on PKR ($10), thought that extra gift from brm in the form of 5000 mobpoints makes this a mightily +ev offer. got the extra $10 from pkr and after playing a bit i cashed out for ~$40 + got 5000 mobpoints from brm =pretty happy with the outcome...
now back to the point: PKR looks a horrible place for small rollers - # at first they take $2 processing fee for deposits under $50 (or $100), imagine me depositing $10 and immediately losing 20% of it for no reason at all .
# ok after that initial shock - i find out that rake @small limit sng's is horrible - i.e. $1.50 don includes $0.25 rake 20% rake??? how the fcuk can u beat this in the long run? cash games at lowest limits is also heavily raked, just mtt's have ~10% rake which seems "very low"
# add to the experience the fact that even prk lite strains all the juice out of my net-book (which has no problem in running stars/tilt/party etc.)...poor machine is turning on the fan right away once i open pkr (and thats "lite" version)
# right...now if you somehow get through all the barriers and make some small profit...once u decide to cashout there is another "surprise" waiting for you ...another fcukin $2 processing fee (on any cash-out below $100)...imagine depositing $10, playing a couple of dons- win one, lose one...withdraw- and you have left exactly $5.50 from your $10 deposit...now that's epic
# here's another gem, this time direct from pkr support- once signing up with the megadeal, you are entitled to an AUTOMATIC upgrade to a higher club pkr level...well through pkr i have found out a new meaning of the word automatic...it took them ~10 days to upgrade me...and even more bizarre is the fact that i have written an email to them asking what's happening...why i am not getting the "automatic upgrade"...response was sth like this: automatic upgrades take X amount of days (8-10)...wtf?
# oh one more- if you play something more exotic- that means anything except texas holdem, you will have a hard time in finding opposition...
there all done now- not that i am against pkr or sth, afterall my venture with them/brm was a profitable one, just my views on the matter. one really good thing i have spotted on pkr is that they use slow blinds structure & big initial stack...that's a plus as this allows for more poker...

This was my experience as well. In fact my rather old laptop wouldn't even run the lite version and I ended up having to use my wife's laptop. Played there for about three days then just gave up.

What funny is that PKR MEGADEAL ad is right under your post when I read it And yeah PKR is not very good pokers site. It is laggy and have to much stuff you don't need And not much players around.
I play on pkr every day, been on the site for years, anyway when I tried to log in today , they have suspended my acc !!! got no idea why, I contacted them and they are looking into it , its a mystery

Wow! I have had no problems at all with PKR.As for them charging below certain limits, just manage your bankroll so that you don't give your money away! If it's the programme or your hardware, then change one of them.
Plenty of people have great fun and success at PKR.

@damosk - not that i have any real problems with pkr, i just outlined some of the minor issues, which imo make pkr lag behind stars/tilt, especially if you are a small roller...pkr is a different beast, so comparing is a hard thing, they have their own niche in the market...facts are facts though: their customer base is kinda small, and it seems it is shrinking as well

PKR have pretty much gone down the toilet.. I mean, they have excellent customer service and they're always fast with withdrawals.. But they've lost all their traffic, pretty much once France left the table, it went downhill pretty fast for PKR.. Their bonuses, rake, etc all used to be pretty good.. but it's just steadily got worse.. Now there's no traffic, low guarantees, crappy bonuses, high rake, etc etc.

Do you mean the PKR client is 2D? They have a 2D and a 3D client, if you play the full(3D) client it's definitely not basically 2D.. It's proper 3D. Or were you just talking about the android client??
------------ PKR Lite is 2D by the way, only the 'normal' client is 3D.

PKR with their software has a lot of poker players on the bench. But maybe those who cant afford a new computer being compatible with their software isnt their target group/

have to agree with you there, now all that they think of is giving away very generous bonuses hoping to attract new customers/ return the old ones...but usually people just play enough to milk the cash & leave without looking back...i wonder if pkr actually gonna go broke in a couple of years or so...

I think they overdid it with the graphics thing. At the end it is a poker game where you play in order to win some money. Not really necessary for all that. Its not you are aiming teenagers playing playstation or xbox.
