I joined this site, hoping to make a few dollars profit. My aim was to earn $200 in 2013.

I just did an audit of all accounts.

Total profit 749.47
Total Loss 30.7
Total = 719.4
BR 377.85
Withdrawn 341.55

Onwards and upwards!

Yes all from nothing. Well not exactly nothing, I did get NDB's so there was a lot to start with.

It could be so much better, I lost on many sites, I took the approach to go risky at start, see where I doubled through a couple of times and use those sites to clear profit

I would love to withdraw from my bankroll but I would hate having to get it back at the moment. Do you withdraw a certain amount every time you win or just when you need it?

Very nice to hear a positive story of one fairing well in their quest to make a profit starting from nothing and it's great that BRM is a part of it. By the way! What site or sites do you play on? I used to like Fulltilt, but after the U.S. got done it leaves U.S. players with very little choices.

Again Good Luck to You and All!

I don't have a hard and fast rule. If I need the money I withdraw, for instance when I needed a new pushchair etc for the baby.

And if I have a big win, I withdraw half.

Yeah it is a shame, you got screwed.

My fav is 888 for mtt's and sky for cash.

Most of my money is in party, stars, sky, betfair, 888, bet365. I have more than $35 in each of these.
I have about $10 in FT/lock.
I have less than $10 in another 10 sites.

Your'e doing great!
That's so nice to hear, between all those bad beats stories...
Iv'e got so many questions for you Smile - Do you have new goals for the rest of the year? does your goals influence the games you play? How was most of the money won - cash or tournaments? was it a lot of small wins or 1-3 big ones?

New goals - Not really, I will continue taking what I can from bonus' and freerolls at the moment until I am in a position to start playing proper MTT's again.

My goals do influence occasionally. For instance on party, I played DoN games to clear the bonus. Usually though I hand pick the offers so that I don't have insane amounts of points to clear, as I don't play cash too well. Deposit bonus for me are pretty much out of the question, so u don't use them up.

How was it won - Mostly on MTT's freeroll and low buyins. There are some great freerolls out there if you handpick the right ones. My $35 on stars for instance came from the 1 mill freeroll. Often the $100 freerolls can be lucrative if you pick the sites with not so many players.

On party (where I withdrew $214 and have a $100 roll), I cleared the $130 NDB from BRM, and had two wins, $70 and $40. The rest was from things like the $5000 bankroll builder and the other freeroll promotions.

888 again, was starting from freerolls and stuff, and I have $55 there, It all adds up.

That said, there is a LOT of small (sub $5) wins that add up.

Next year I will continue on decent freerolls but increase my range of low buyin mtt'

You are SO different from me Smile
I won 1.5$ last week, went immediately to double it up in a heads-up game so I could get into a 2.20$ MTT that was about to close, got into that tournament and lost before the bubble. Lost the last 60c later that night.
But I don't have goals or such. Just wasting my time...

Mind you - my wife went to a wedding and I had a rare evening on my own, so I wanted to use my free time the best way I can Smile

It could have been better as it could have been worst.
The good thing is that you achieved your goal and way more than that.
And still you have more than four months to go, so you can reach 1k by then Smile
I wish you more than that.
Well done and good luck

hi Big Smile
i have a question, might i ask what do you play to get money from sqaud i mean, i really like brm freerolls but the mostly give me like 5 cent's, the 100k frerrols when i play dead serieus i might get to the money ofc no rebuy or add ons those are a waste to me assuming ive never won more then 80 cents then why would i rebuy for30 or 60 cents O.o.
nevertheless yeah about 30 sometimes how do you build up a bankroll from that to which amount did u keep playing freerolls and what did u start playing after you had that amount

i know this sounds like a interview xD but i would really like to know

I don't see the point, you don't have enough even to deal with variance in one game. Better to wait until you have enough to play with

I play the BRM raked hand freeroll on party, that's a great prize.

Other than that, deposit bonus freerolls etc are a good source of income, as are welcome freeerolls

that's combined with NDB (and withdrawing from those sites with profit and using them on new sites to get new welcome freerolls etc)

I rarely play freerolls for less than $1k unless few players etc

It`s really good to read that someone has that kind of discipline. It`s not easy to make that kind of money from nothing. Considering that most of the poker players are losing players, this is a really good achievement. Good luck for the future =)
