Should The FT/BRM Tourneys Be Shortened To 8 Minute Blinds?

No complaints about the FT tourneys... They're pretty good! Not too many bingo queens and idiots,...and apparently no cheaters with multiple accounts....
I've seen some talk here about the length of time it takes to play out a game. I too thought it takes quite a long time. Although I wouldn't want to see them shortened to turbo length,...I think if you could shorten them to 8 minute blinds,...THAT would be PERFECT!!! Not as long and drawn out as they are now,....and not short and crazy like a turbo!
Sort of like the Goldilocks and the 3 Bears story...Not too hot, not too cold....this one's just right.....

Definitely yes. You are right that turbo tournaments make you play much more aggressive ("play and pray" style), but those Full Tilt tournaments are just too long. More often than not I have to live a game in the middle, sometimes never getting back to the game. 8 Min. seems just right - probably around a 3 hours long tournament would you say?

I don't think administration (Tony) will answer anyone who show's disrespect to him Demodawg, but it's just my thoughts. I'll bet if you'd have been a bit kinder you'd have gotten an answer. How do you know Tony's fat anyway?

I don't know that his name is Tony,...or that he his fat or not. I'm just going by the name of the guy in his avatar pic,....who happens to be Fat Tony....the head 'mobster' in The Simpson's...which I think is an appropriate,...and rather funny name or image for the guy who administers to the BankrollMob forum.
But then again, I remember you saying that you don't watch The Simpsons,....so it appears to me that you've read things wrong.

Less time in such a tourney is always the best. It is a waste actually playing all these hours for such a low prize. And if you want to participate in the BRM leaderboard you practically need to spend the whole day on them playing.

At PS the time seems right... When you are playing a session you play it as a site game and tbh i don't think you should play for the prize pool but rather for the leaderbord....
If you play regulary it isn't that difficult to get up there... And around 3-4 hours for so many people is reasonable imo and that's why I voted no

This thread has nothing to do with PokerStars...
...but since you mention it,...it would be nice if the length of those blinds were brought down to 8 minutes also...

players already have alternative on Pokerstars, so who need turbo they can move on PS and waste less time for these mtts.. The Fulltilts BRS structure is fair for them who want to get some experience on deep level structure. ask me why is good, cos i have more time to play good poker against donks and catch them by patience who plays bingo and pushing allin every hands., IN TURBO U DONT HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO WAIT BEST HANDS FOR CATCHING THESE DONKS YOUR SHOULD GET MORE LUCKY AND WIN MORE FLIPS THAN ON NORMAL LEVEN. i can play both structure very well, but i prefer standart level even if there is more than 1k enters. SO KEEP IT

8 minute blinds play more like a 10 minute blind structure and not at all like a turbo. It just shortens the duration of the games!

As much as I agree with you on the bingo thing,....which I absolutely DISLIKE,...I just HATE bingo queens,... I have to disagree with your reply for 2 reasons...
1) I've played many 8 minute blind tourneys and it doesn't increase the number of bingo queens measurably...
2) From my experience on Full Tilt,...there's not a lot of bingo queens anyway,...and NOWHERE near what you'd find on BingoStars... and believe me,...I would NOT like to see the FT tourneys turn into Bingo Fests!
The BrM tourneys on the 2 sites are worlds apart as far as that goes... Why all the idiots are attracted to the PS/BrM tourneys I don't know...

Okay, I voted yes and I thought it's a great idea, but now I think they should wait and see how the removal of freerolls from FT unless your'e a new player, influence BRM freerolls. If the BRM freerolls will be too atractive, they will be flooded by queens, as you call them.
Do you think the change in FT will influence BRM freerolls?

about the Q....i keep say n that for to long ,even 5 or 6 min are damn good but they are afraid that there will be no poker .....is so stupid ,10 min blind u get in a mainevent if is not DS(deepstack)
