G'day mates
Well I got my baby up and working again last night. I discussed the idea of a computer upgrade for my desktop. My friend laughed out load. His response was something like, " Jesus Len, you got a computer most people would gladly have as there own and you want to upgrade it. Dude you do not need an upgrade". I smiled and told him, "it was not about needing an upgrade, it was about treating my baby the way she should be treated." be cool
I run a very old XP machine, it runs faster than a mates flash 6 month old laptop and about twice as quick as another mates, somewhat powerful desktop, I basically removed and optimised for net and poker only. Stats: Total space 37.2GB. Free Space 30.2GB. (and this was last "cleaned" about 2 weeks ago) 512MB Ram. Pagefile has been set to 1kb above recommended. All unnecessary overheads are either disabled or removed completely. e.g. Windows Update is disabled and run once a week, started just as Friday night is about to start, I am normally at a mates drinking beer, spinning the s**t ect, so now downtime. The mate with the desktop, is somewhat aghast, jealous and suspicious, believing that my lappy is a secret ex government clone or some such, lol.
BTW lunch today is Roast NZ Lamb, I can not think of a joke to go with lamb and I kinda pride myself on my wit.... so I feel a bit sheepish.

Take this shameful business of banning YouTube. That happened in September and here we are at the end of April and that issue is no longer regarded as worth fighting about. It’s rapidly becoming history. Pretty soon most would have forgotten what the fuss was all about and just a few would comprehend that it’s not about taking a channel off but a violation of our fundamental rights. Those who had this knee-jerk reaction and went into a fit can no longer be found.

Do you think Walter deserves the criticism that has been thrown his way?
If so, you are just a jealous creature of habit who has never tried anything new and does not believe that one person could be so successful because your mind is so far away from success that you cannot even conceive of success!
Don't criticise those who do and ar successful.
Get a life and try something new and you too could be as successful as Walter!

It is a wonderful sunny day. It is a little cold outside. Hopefully I will be able to play some profitable poker today. I played two SnG 50/fifty's this morning and lost them both. Had a painful movement and me knees hurt. be cool

The Obama Administration has threatened to veto the 2014 Department of Defense Appropriations Act, saying it is too generous with military pay and too stingy with civilian pay.
As a point of clarification, the Defense Appropriations Act is a distinct entity from the Defense Authorization Act (or NDAA), which has been the point of focus for the past few months. The Authorization Act describes how the US DoD is “authorized” to organize and operate; the Appropriations Act “appropriates” the money to accomplish that end.
The appropriations bills were actually already passed by each house of Congress, but have yet to come out of conference committee.

Well it is sunny outside here in Fredericton. But it is very cold in my opinion. I hate both the cold and the snow which follows in its wake. If it was up to me I would never need to see snow again. Would only live in warm places around the world. be cool mates
