There is another problem about the banning. Us. We don’t question things enough because in Pakistan the standard answer to every wrongdoing is that fighting it will lead to nothing – ‘the standard ‘what’s the point?’’ I think that is the point and if enough of us react there won’t be Article 62 and the ban on YouTube and the laughable ban on say things like ‘Photography of the Bridge.’ The ‘ban’ you can see applies to a derelict bridge of no interest to man or beast but there is the ban and there it stays. The other day parking at Wagah border to receive some guests from India, I was stopped by three starched cardboard figures who wanted to know why I was here. I thought of saying, ‘to launch a missile’ but instead said the obvious. ‘Park there,’ said one cardboard pointing to the other side of the road. ‘Why?’ I asked. ‘Because you can’t park here,’ said the genius. ‘Why?’ I asked, at which he fingered his gun. So I moved. As I was parking, two cardboards slid into view. ‘You can’t park here,’ one cardboard said. ‘Park there,’ said the other. ‘I did,’ I replied. ‘They said to park here.’ ‘You are not allowed to park here,’ said the first cardboard. ‘Where should I park?’ I asked. We are insulted and cheated daily but we simply don’t complain. We put up with terrible service, rude waiters, indifferent salesmen and we take it. We never ask for proper bills and are happy with scraps of paper or indecipherable nonsense. We all believe it does not matter what we think. That is why governments led by the likes of Rehman Malik have YouTube banned. There are apparently 29 million Internet users in Pakistan. Why are they not yelling their heads off? Why aren’t there a thousand cases filed? Agreed that YouTube’s absence has not brought life to a standstill but say nothing and the nonsense will only increase and our rights further trampled.

One very basic reason that things are the way they are is lack of accountability – and one uses that word with all due caution because it has been bandied about and pushed by the very people who have ensured they are never ever held accountable. There are hundreds of cases where people tried to stand up for some principle, tattered and shorn but still there and all that happened was they ran into all kinds of problems and in the end failure. Those in authority who have tried over the years to act on principles have realised that it is a futile battle. Still many have carried on in the face of daunting challenges, threats, physical and mental abuse and hostility. People like Ardeshir Cowasjee stood up fearlessly against a rampant Karachi mafia but how many more Cowasjees do you see? I am not sure if one should feel utterly hopeless or somewhat hopeful. That is a personal choice.

This brings me to my friend Ayaz Amir and the shoddy hand he has been dealt with. But he has taken it on the chin and moved on. That’s the difference. His last column is filled with self-analysis. I cannot think of very many people who have the courage to write what he did regularly and has now penned for those who may wish to see the malaise that eats us up from within. He should feel good. He’s done the right thing.

The funny thing is that should you take on the monoliths fuelled with self importance and that great Pakistani disease, hubris, you will see how vulnerable they really are. The trappings of power and lust for money have driven many good Pakistanis into the valleys of dark corruption and they have – or so they have been led to believe, become invincible but history is cruel and when things go wrong, there is just no stopping the tide. Look at Hosni Mubarak strapped in a stretcher in a courtroom and our own Commando furtive and scared, running away from the courts (I am not afraid of death) he once said. Maybe. But he is a scared mangy cat when it comes to the law applied by the ‘bloody civilians’.

The first part, 'are you wanna' suggests that Pochui is trying or wanting to do something. This is grammatically wrong as Pochui has indeed already created a thread, of whatever description (this is relevant to the next part).
I keep returning to the word 'deadless'. Essentially the use of the word 'less' after the word 'dead' creates the meaning of the opposite of 'dead', which is quite clearly 'live', therefore it seems that this post acknowledges that the creation of the Complate Bullsh1t Place is to enliven the forum and to provide an opportunity for people to post relevant and useful Complete Bullsh1t.
So overall, in answer to what appears to be a two stage question, as there is a ? at the end of it, the answer must be (1) No (Pochui already has created a thread) and (2) Yes (the thread is about totally relevant Bullsh1t).
