Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne (CAS) overturned a four-year suspension Vanessa Mae (Vanakorn) imposed by the International Ski Federation (FIS). This was reported on the official website of CAS.
Mae was suspended from competition in Alpine skiing for forgery of results qualifying for the Olympics in 2014, after which the athlete appealed to the CAS, saying that was not guilty of falsification, as it was not informed. The court granted the appeal of 36-year-old skier.
Shortly before the Olympics Vanessa Mae performed at competitions in Slovenia, the results were falsified. Judges result Mae overstated, and violinist could thus obtain the right to participate at the Olympic Games in Sochi.
