optimal shoving percentage for AA  0

Hey, I am one of those players who likes to shove AA at least some percentage of the time. I know some people find it annoying but it is highly effective in certain situations.

Under what conditions and how frequently should AA be shoved? In a cash game? In a tournament?

What about KK?

I find issue with people who think AA should never be shoved. I think it definitely should be shoved at least some of the time, even in deep stack situations. What do you think?

If you get called often enough, to make it worth your while, then sure...

But I don't think you get many calls on a 100bb shove, so it would be wasting a premium hand IMO.

Personally I raise it the same amount as any other raising hand, unless the table is very loose. Ideally I want to be heads up on the flop, so I might raise more if in previous hands there were many multi way pots.

Early on in freerolls you should shove AA, since you get called so often.

As for KK I play it the same pre flop, but obviously slow down on the flop if an A hits...

Obviously people shove AA.

But there are spots where it is optimal and spots where it isn't. 5 aggrodonkers go AI ahead of you - AA doesn't look so good.

All contextual - watch your opponents, and apply what is best for the situation.

Just shove whenever you have AA, for KK you have to get a good read if the other player is a nit that will just shove AA/KK.

Yeah and if there are lots of people shoving, and you near the bubble you might consider folding, it all depends on the importance of ITM for you in a tourney. Also most of the time shoving AA is a good thing in a tourney!!

For cash games just shove, people will call some of the time, with QQ+!! For KK read my first paragraph!!

raise the amount you always raise to,
if you are on a very loose table bet some higher if you are on a tight table just do as you usually do,
you dont wanna limp it and shove when you have like 100bb will certainly scare away hands like kq who might even think in first about reraising

In tournaments i would shove AA/KK in the start of the tournament.
There are always players who like to double up from the beginning, certainly in rebuys.
From the middle/later stages i would raise with normal betting sizes.

At cash games you should have a good read on the orher players to make a shove.
If there's a very agrressive player who like to call all-ins uyou can do it.
But when the other players have seen you made a shove w AA you should stop
or quit the table and move to another table

just shove them...poker is a game of shoving, doesn't matter what stakes u play, what game (mtt, sng, cash)- the main truth about being an ultra solid & profitable poker player is this: just shove it (i believe nike borrowed this slogan form poker tables).
shove to the left, shove to the right- you're always doing the right thing...don't show any weakness- shove it Agree
