did I play this right??  0
My last 3 hands where like this,

however this one eliminated me....

http://www.boomplayer.com/en/poker-hands/Boom/5205117_B...

not sure if I played ths right, I think I should have bet in the first round other than checking.....thats the only thing I can think of.

You were too far gone already, I think. You did not have enough folding equity left to do much of anything.

I use this rule: if your stack is less than 7 times the amount in the pot before anyone bets (i.e. SB+BB+antes (AKA "M" Blink), restrict yourself to pushing or folding (don't limp, call or raise anymore until you either get eliminated or get to M > 7).

That being said, in this case I would just shove pre flop, and hope for the best.
To not shove the flop (which was great for you), was simply wrong IMO.

I have to agree with the post above, in a situation like that you should have wait for a higher card if not a pair and go all in pre flop.

Now if we talk about this hand after you saw that flop and you got a pair(8) i would also have opted to go all in.

At that point with the stack you had, i would have done the same thing.
Probably i would have shove all in after the flop having the top pair.
But with such stacks in someone would have called eitherway Smile

I think you should bet at the flop, but you didnt and I think you made the right thing on turn (I would have done the same). Its just luck (and a little bit studip I think) for the guy with Q9 to call. Just bad luck, but you did the right thing. You will win in the future with that play Smile

Everyones hands on Pokerstars always get bailed out on the river. Big Smile

Tough spot to do any better and that river card sealed ur faith. Looking at how ur opponents played that hand i don't think u stood a chance. The guy calls ur shove with air hoping to hit (which he did) and he probably would do the same if u acted on the flop just the same.
The main problem here was the fact that u only had 4bb left. In ur place i would have shoved on the flop and hoped for the best.

your right you should have shipped all in after you hit that flop the q9 would defo have folded unlucky

did you play this right?
possible answers: yes, no , i don't know, maybe, depends, partly, my left ball is bigger then my right one...
do you really think there is a right way to play and a wrong way to play? if you do, then why the hell are you playing the wrong way?
if there is a right way- why would someone want to share this precious info with you? don't you think they would hide this info like the pirates chest full of compressed sh1t bricks?

You played it pretty much the way I would have snipples....

Short stacked,...the blind took your chips... Slim chance somebody had the 9...

wtf,.....just shove it.... Unfortunately for you,...buddy had the 9...

Oh well... Confused Thumbs Up

terrible imho ... limping K5 suited in an early position, I hate this you were asking for trouble.

Your bet sizing with your raise on the flop is way too big in my opinion, it kind of looks like a bluff which i suppose could work out but why not just go to value town?

I think when your opponent 3 bet shoves it is screaming full house or a king with no obvious draws on the board. seeing as your kicker is pretty bad i think its pretty obvious your opponent has you dominated and its a fold...granted a very big fold to make but you certainly wern't committed at that point and had the option to keep your tourney life.

You should have shoved flop. There is no single reason for check there. Other then that- unlucky.

agreed, not enough chips behind to be raising, calling raises etc, get the chips in and pray it holds up

Terrible played in all aspects. K5s is not good to play even from button. Limp on 50/100 is terrible no matter what your hand is anyway. On flop you re raised too big so you're not allowing anyone with worse to call you except maybe some fish that dont want to fold 9 ot tt+. And expected end where k5 limped hit 3 outer on river...

Worst hand always seems to win in flips these days. Then again its not called a coin flip for no reason.

i agree with most of comments, i would waited for a strong hand to go all in pre flop. In case that u limp, u should go all in with the hisghest pair in the flop. maybe the guy with q-9 would folded coz he didnt have a good hand at that moment. Good luck next time!
