Hi! As far as i know the US has still a very limited offer in terms of allowed platforms for you to play. GreenMohave ( a player from USA who comes here regularly) plays on Carbon poker. I dont know whats the freeroll offer there but certainly they'll have something to attract new players. If you haven't checked it yet you should give it a go. If not hopefully someone here will know of a better solution for you.

The only site that i could recommend for you is Carbon poker, it's the biggest for the US market now so good poker traffic.
But and there is a huge but, please keep a minimum of money on the site, as you know the US online gambling market is not legal yet so you could always expect these sites to shut down over night...

Now THAT statement raises a question in my mind...
I have high speed where I live right now,...but I'm looking to move into a bigger house somewhere out in farm country... I had a house out there for 10 years,...but there was NO high speed.... JUST dial-up unless you wanted to spend the big money for a satellite connection to the internet...
Do the various poker programs NOT work with a dial up connection...???

Demo, in theory it should work but i can tell you from experience that there are poker sites that use a lot of internet resources, sites like 888 or pkr.
If you mainly play on stars or ftp you should be okay. And one more thing: online poker needs more of a stable connection than a fast one.

Is there a Mobile signal, where you plan to buy?
If so you can get (at least you can in the UK) a mobile broadband dongle. Until a couple of years ago I used to play using one of them.
If they don't have them then it just proves that you should never have moved from the UK to Canadia.

Posted by mascona: LoL, dial up connection !!! Do you own a time machine dude ? .... stands between your Revox tape recorder and Atari Computer.
Hey mascona.... EVERYbody around here has a time machine! It's called a car.... Just drive out of town for a few miles and it's like going back to the 1940s or '50s as that's how old all the telephone wires are out there.... They will only support a slow dial up connection....and you have to tip toe through the cow patties to get to the poles... Mooooooooooooooooooo.....
Ever see the show Green Acres...? Well that's pretty much what it's like around here...lol...
Macubaas and Henry.... There are mobile signal thingys and satellite connections out there,...but they cost an arm and a leg! Way too much for what I need really....unless I'm forced to!
I'm pretty much a luudite technologically speaking,.... I really have no need of or interest in all the latest gizmos such as cell phones, mobile devices, tablets,...etc...
...incidentally mascona.....Atari Space Invaders has stood the test of time so I understand....lol....

***includes 250 minutes free long distance phonecalls continent wide, free blowjobs,.....and REALLY cheap calling worldwide,....like 2c/minute to 3rd world countries like....Poland and Botswana... < lol...

I have played on my parents satellite connection and man the delays while betting sucks sometimes, I have to resort to piggy backing my phone for xbox live and yes it works awesome through my phone, the satellite was horrible.

ok ty every1 and a friend told me bout one more poker site its called america's cardroom i like it alot and the withdrawals are as low as 25 us dollars and if u want they sent it in a form of a pre-paid visa the deposits are as low as 10 us dollars so i put 10 bucks on it and tried it i like the setup the only thing i dont like bout it is there in demand turnaments, there ok if u want a quick game but the late regertation is too long like 1 hour and 30 minutes after the game starts and the unlimented rebuys till the 1st break but the up side is they have alot of freerolls and lotts of games to choose from like 5 card draw 7 card stud if u dont want to spend alot they have mirco tables with 1 -2 cent blinds on holdem and all there card games
