Wow are these tough to crack or what? Generally I see the majority of players at any table I sit at are so tight it's incredible - and then there's a couple looser players and a fishtard if I'm lucky.
But seriously, I play pretty loose and the majority of players I am up against are T-Bads or Rocky as hell - literally only ever in a pot with PREMO hands like top pocket pairs and AJ+. It makes them easy to read, but also means there's little action most of the time. And then if I do get them HU either they obviously have a hand and I fold or I have a hand and they fold straight away. Tough nuts to crack.
I try and target the loose players that aren't very good and steal from the rocks but it means there isn't always a tonne of action. Seems like four years ago or more these games were full of complete idiots, now it seems people know what they are doing even on low stakes.

Hey,....the quality of the game isn't TOO bad in some of the micro games of various types! They're certainly WORLDS apart from the freerolls as far as quality of play goes. I find that you don't really get a lot of donks and bingo queens. Sure there is SOME along the way,...but even that small amount of money invested to buy in seems to be enough to keep the majority of idiots away....
Can be easy pickins I guess because folks are trying to figure it all out, as opposed to more successful players who move on to bigger stakes...

i guess it's a normal thing- when poker was a new thing/ or still was attracting lots of new players, quality of play was lot lower, there were piles of morons, casual players, those who received some free money etc. - now most of the public is well educated and know more than the plain basics, plus those to whom poker was pure entertainment lost their cash and find it not fun to keep reloading...so more or less the number of regs increased, number of donks decreased- naturally the game got tougher.

Full ring. Although 6 handed is something I do like sometimes.
Yeah the regs are easily identifiable but PS is a huge site so it's not like I know who all the regs are yet.
I think PS also attracts a better calibre of player to a degree due to the traffic and advertising etc.

Yes, this is really crazy! I played yestarday the micro cash games fixed limit hold'em ($0.02/$0.04), 10 players at PokerStars and most of the players have a bankroll between $0.50 and $0.70 and they play really extremely tight. I am surprised.
It seems these guys are playing the Sunday Million. It is really ridiculous. I sat with $0.50, I played one hour, I got $1.00 and after playing one hour more, I lost all cents. It is little bit nerveous, because for example if you hold nice cards AA or KK, everyone folds preflop and you can't play with your monster hand. Everyone is waiting for the monster hand. Everyone is playing super tight. This kind of game is little bit crazy. Just a waste of time, I think.
I also find very difficult a seat for these tables, because I prefer sitting at a table with no Russians at all, but 95% of these tables are filled with at least 3 Russians at each tables.

If you find a table with Russians who are all playing tight then I think you are doing well.
From my experience the Sturgeons (Russian Fish) outnumber the tight ones by a factor of 20:1.

The micro Levels are a good way to build a Little bankroll. But to generate a vip Status, it is to havy to reach them. Ok there are a lot of manicas at the micros, but at some days without suckouts, you can get some bucks verry fast.

I dont know if you have tried Omaha games, but if you dont, give it a go. There you will find the kind of players you are looking for, and at least at micro tables with some tag its easy to get a profit.

I have been thinking of shiofting to another game as Holdem is so well known even to supposedly lay persons. Might do that later this year, have a little pop. I did it a long time ago and actually quite enjoyed it.
I don't know about full ring but 6max is usually incredibly loose and fishy just go for the table with the biggest average pot. Just looked on Tilt a $0.02/$0.05 at $0.75 and $0.05/$0.10 at $3.94 lol.

You are right, by definition and also all strategies say that short handed tables are designed to play a lot more loose than on full ring.
As you imagine even by the fact that you have less players at the table if you are too selective with hands you'll lose big even on blinds that you pay more often than on FR.

It's funny.
I think it may be more of a time issue. The worst players seem to be on in the evening my time, whereas a lot of my play is during the day, when the better players seem to be on or at least tighter.

Micro games are always soft, you have the donkeys, the fishes, the calling station, the agro fish etc, just make a note on them.
If they are donkeys, just value bet them, same applies to fishes, if they calling station do not attempt to bluff them, for agro fish just flat PPs and let them value town themselves.
Also table selection is key, if there are a table full of nit or regulars, just quit the table and move to one table where the fish are, there are lots of other better tables.
Also if you look at the avg pot etc, you have to make sure the fish still there, you could have joined and the fish have already left and you will be left exchanging blinds!

While its standard that the majority of levels that this is happening Heskor is micro, it doesnt stop there. I have watched more than once tables with limits up to 2/4$ (never play these, way too high for me ) and i have came up across to the same way of playing. I believe its not only the limits, but the right table also (players)

My advice!
Yeah spot on - its easy to spot whos who.
And playing in the evening is far liver than during the day generally speaking - I found the fish today and made about $15.00
Had this Greek guy calling everything - then bam busted half his somehow-huge stack, poetic.
All about table selection and betting into the right people like you say.
Sometimes it is easy to rush into games. Now when I play I think, 'I'm playing a session'. It makes it more serious and I play better not jumping in and out of games.
