I never noticed until today, but at pokerstars you collect vpp's and fpp's. vpp's are what you are rewarded for playing at cash tables and tournaments, fpp's are what you are rewarded for collecting vpp's. depending on your level bronze, silver ect. you can collect fpp's faster, i'm goldstar, so for every vpp I earn I get 2 fpp's. I currently have 991 vpp's 9 more and I can buy a $50.00 reward at the reward store, but i also noticed that you can convert your fpp's to cash also. 1000 fpp's = $10.00 and 2250 = $25.00 , so if anyone didn't know about this just go to rewards store and click 2013 rewards, and scroll to the bottom, and you'll find them there.

You collect vpp´s for your vip Status Level and fpp´s to buy prizes in the shop or for buy ins in tourneys etc. If you reached a higher vip level, you can collect more vpp´s = fpp´s.

Hey mate, how are you doing, i play on pokerstars from time to time and the best I reached was Chrome star lol.
But from what I heard it is best to take the cash if you platinum or more, better being supernova or supernova elite but platinum will do. You get the best deal I think.
Also if you thinking of going for the bonus just make sure that you are able to clear it, instead of just buying the highest one and not being able to clear it, it will be a waste of fpps.
Moreover my advice is just to find a balance between FPPs for cash and bonus to clear for your limit, if you playing high limit and is a winning players, clearing bonus better!

I don't know how other sites do this sort of thing,...but PokerStars seems to be somewhat generous. If you get those rewards incidentally for buying into a lot of games,...which you'd do anyway,...that's GREAT!!! Might as well get a little bit of appreciation coming back your way...
I've never gotten any higher than ChromeStar myself,...but I just couldn't fathom the amounts of cash you have to spend to get to SuperNova Elite! Some folks just have tons of cash comin' out their A$$...!

Yeah those supernova elite grinders are sickos, they grind like 5k sngs hypers per month so that they get the rake and most of them are break even or slightly losing players.
They make their money by getting the supernova elite, they might go for month losing etc, They are known as rake back professionals and it demands a lot time and a lot of grind. I cant imagine myself being a rake back grinder in the future if I continue with poker, it is too hard and time consuming.
Why not just play for fun and the occasional MTTS, if we ship it nice, if we do not we still having fun, anyway my input on those vip levels we can find in most poker rooms!
