Phisix, my advice is: Make this experiment! Sit on any PokerStars cash table Fixed Limit Holdem $0.05/$0.10 but sit as a chip leader of that table! Enter with $5 for example! You have to be sure that all the other players have less money than you!
You have to be the chip leader! And then, just start playing like a donk. Call almost every hand, raise every hand and look what will happen! You will win 80% of the time!
Do it like that and then tell me is this working! I did it and it works perfect!

How much do you bet on that statement? I can prove this to you with some secret documents! You will lose the bet! They win mostly from rake and entry fees but rebuys and addons as well!

Ok, another example! Sit & Go, 180 players, the entry is $11 ($10.05 + $0.95)
$11 x 180 players = $1980 total
$0.95 from each player are going for the poker site (employees salaries, taxes, licensees, etc)
At this SNG: $0.95 x 180 players = $171 are going for the poker site.
That means all the entries for this SNG is $1980.
$1980 - $171 (poker site winnings) = $1809
So the total SNG prize for the players will be $1809 and $171 are the winnings for the site.
When the entry is bigger, the poker sites winnings are bigger as well.
In most of the cases addons and rebuys are going for the poke sites as winnings, or with this money they make freerolls as the prizepool freerolls is added from the site.
