5 ) Johnny Moss, first winner of a 'Main Event' WSOP (1907-1995) A poker legend . His name is related to two 'big' as Doyle Brunson and ' Amarillo ' Slim when speaking of the first great players. In fact , Moss was the first winner of the WSOP Main Event (1970 ) , which repeated the following year and in 1974 , becoming the oldest player (66 years ) to get it.
4 ) ' Amarillo Slim' , one of the 'fathers ' of modern poker Poker and gambling , his two great passions . On the green carpet got 4 bracelets at the World Series of Poker , including the Main Event , 1972 .
3 ) Phil Ivey , the Tiger Woods of poker tables Known as the "Tiger Woods of Poker" , both by their skin color and for its early successes , has been , probably , and together with Daniel Negreanu , the most complete player of the last decade

Well nice list but I have some names to add....
The well famous Litouanian player Pochui who lives near the sea... he s famous for his melon deliveries and lots more ....
His poker skills are still improving ... and he ll sure win lots of tournements in his live...

i'm a bit surprised that there is no room for either Johnny Chan who nearly won 3 in a row main events or the player that beat him Phil Helmuth,they have got to be 2 of the greatesst ever.

Agreed.I mean these best of lists are usually subjection anyway but Chan and Hellmuth have to be on there as well. Those old pros I respect because they established the game but I can't relate to them really in terms of who they are and from having 'grown up with them'.
Negreanu has to be another contender - see what he deos in the next 5 years or so, but still a class act.
There's a few others but a lot of the modern players have done very well, but not gone on to be exceptional. Esfandiari is class BUT is he a poker legend? From the one drop alone I guess. Same for Dwan - cash game amazing, tournaments not so much.

aye noonlion,Daniel Negreanu is one of my favourite players too and i think he is quite funny as well,what about that young english guy Sam Trickett ? he looks like he could turn out to be a very good player also.

Doyle Brunson he's the man i think because he is old as poker is )))))))))))))))))) Daniel Negreanu he is very very good player i respect him and he is the only one who can guess you hand , he's mind reader ))))))))))))))))

Threads like this have been posted over the years and the conclusion in many cases was that it was hard to make a top if you do not have some clear criteria ti judge.
But all player that you mentioned i think deserve a place in the poker halll of fame, i think it's a much better concept than a top.
