A lot of people are playing poker, but we all have different goals. Of course we're all trying to win money, but what for you is the main reason? So, why do you play poker?

Even thou i do enjoy playing poker i have to say that it's not just for fun. If that was the main reason theres other games that i enjoy more but i dont play them so often coz theres no reward involved. Poker is fun but getting money from it makes it even better.

1st, i love the game and i will play in the same serious mode, even is for real or for play money. 2nd I like to eat ... Also I have some questions, if you don't mind: - Why you ask? - You have heard about shills, what's your opinion?! - How come all people hate Russians (at the poker table)?
I play because I really love this game. Not for money. Po k er is not simple game. Playing p0ker, I always learn something new. It helps me to clear the mind. I'm getting stronger while playing p0ker. For me p0ker - is the way to learn about myrself.

Wrong! You see... If you have a disease, it's not about the way you act when you have it. It's about the disease it self. Lets see i'm angry all the time and i need angry management. Let me give you an example:
Let's say we both play chess, and : 1) you are much good than me, and i try, try, but i can't beat you! So i give up. I say to myself, man...this is a player much good than you are, so is not pain anymore, i will try to learn from you! 2) You are cheating, and that is giving you a big advantage, i'm shame to tell you, and also let to cheat, in front of me, that will give me more pain, than you beat me, coz you also cheat...

I'm not accepting things made by others, I accept the circumstances. I play the game. I can win or lose. If I made the wrong decision, next time I'll be better. If I was good then I'll win next time.

P0ker is not chess. P0ker is the game of incomplete information. There is always a risk You can never know"How to play right" The computer can play chess, but not p0ker.

You started wrong, again... Poker is lucky chess! Example, you're playing a 7/2o, and you win, in a long term that's a lose (in a serious game). Same in chess, chess now, chess, later, chess, over chase (king attack)....is not mate, is just chase.... Mate is when you play again 7/2o, against Q/Q, at least! Everything has complete info. You have to know where to look and what are you looking for. At every question, in wtv domain , question is in front of us. Trust me!

I play for several reasons. One is for fun and because i enjoy it. Thats how i started playing poker. Money is the second reason. I believe most players will have both these reasons. If they didnt like poker and did it only for the money, they would have found other ways to make money

Some of you.... just really don't understand the game, and his purpose. I see ppl who claim they are the best.... Clowns. The best of Poker, Doyle, never claims that... but clowns are everywhere... And, also, about BRM FR's, money has to come back, for another one! _|_

I really enjoy poker, I look at it as a sport and I'm very competitive. Of course I play to win money, in fact I got myself a nice laptop because of poker with my winnings gl guys

Why else would anyone play? If it wasn't for money no one would play, anyone that says otherwise that just doesn't make sense - yeah its a fun game anyway, but it wouldn't be the game it is today without cash, the all important incentive.

I saw it on TV and thought to myself...."What an EASY way to make millions of dollars"...
...but then I realized it wasn't all THAT easy.... ...but I got to really like it,....and continued...!
THEN,...one day I noticed all the cheating cockroaches with multiple accounts, and PokerStars TOTAL unwillingness to do ANYTHING about it....
THEN i noticed all the Russians with 'balls bigger than your head' playing like idiots because they don't wear shirts like their leader Vladimir Putin,....and they have 9 2 offsuit,....and in their vodka soaked mind they have THE NUTZZZZZ....
THEN I got REALLY sick of playing poker because it has totally destroyed MY mind....but now find myself ADDICTED to poker....
...so NOW everytime some clown destroys my killer pocket with his JUNK.....I say to myself... "THAT'S IT with this rubbish...... I'M OUTTA HERE"
...but then I keep crawling back for more punishment....

Lol I'm along the lines of DemoDawggy I've quit and come back I don't know how many times.
Sometimes I play for fun in bar leagues for the social aspect, in some cases play money for the same reason. Play in Casino's because the money BUT mostly for the human experience and attraction of gambling for societal status with different people mostly when you win you get respect from people with varied lives or if your a huge fish with lots of money same thing but if your the odd money player you can luck out and meet someone as an acquaintance but winning at the tables keeps you involved with people who have many other interests and after the tables winnings get invested and ideas other then poker get talked about
As for Shilling yeah do your research and develop a group of friends to discuss emotions and recognize more so how to spot your emotions so when confrontation comes you can keep cool under pressure of the possible crazyness when facing people "bad" and caught. AND JOIN AND TALK TO YOUR LOCAL AND ONLINE GAMES SECURITY WATCHERS and others interested. And relax sometimes people are not paid to promote but just attracted to dumb lower quality offering things for various reasons- you buy a cookie from grandma before a super vitamin enriched cookie guaranteed to get you S3x after you ate it?
