G'day mates
So last night I was bored to death and I decided to play in the PSO freeroll tournament. Well I did very well early on and had a few traps work built myself a nice chip stack laughing my arse off at the idiot play I was seeing. I took a couple real bad beats at one point and lost most of my chips. Instead of getting mad however, I just laughed at the moron who cracked my premium starting hand who his 7 2 offsuit. I decided to outlast him, take my time, and win my chips all back. Well I certainly did that. I do not know when I made the decision that I was going to make the final table in the tournament, but I know that at one point I said out load. I think I really want to win this one. Well I actually did come back from what normally would have been some devastating loses and I did win the entire tournament. I turned on the congratulatory messages when I knew I was going to make the final table. I am NOT writing this here to gloat. I simply want to say that anyone of you can win a tournament too, if you just stay calm and play well. best of luck to you all.
Ronin

Congratulation ronin. I know how hard these freerolls can be and finishing 1st says a lot about your overall game. Well done and good luck in future tourneys.

ongratulations,
you've made the money! Unfortunately, usually at this point you've got barely enough to go buy a hamburger at McDonald's. You'll need to make it farther to win big money. Usually you won't see a good payout compared to the amount of hours invested in the freeroll until you hit the final table...Which is not hard to do! Unfortunately, reading this guide will not make you an automatic winner. A huge part of getting to the final table is knowing how and when to make moves.

Congrats Ronin!
I finshed 9th in the 13:00 est PSO tourney and could have have done much better if it were not for a stupid useless push on myu part.
Any ways congrats big guy on taking the whole thing down.
Ronin have you qualified for the Big bang next month? You would have ot finish in the top 400 in three consecutive tournies. I did it over the weekend, god damn are those things really long and tiring.

Gongratzzzzz on that!!!!
I don't play those tourneys, so I don't really know all the particulars of them and the 'Donk' factor involved EITHER....

Congratulations to you. You definitely done the right thing in not letting the donk get to you. You just have to laugh it off and carry on playing the way you know is right and with a bit of luck on your side you can go all the way

Congrats Ronin .. a win is a win and it shows that freerolls can be won with solid pokr skills
But I am wondering .... why are there over 8500 players for a 10 dollar freeroll
I think there are much better freerolls to find (on PS and other sites) that have higher prices or or smaller playerfield --> which increases your chances

Its a monthly league. On leaderboard you can get alot of money not in tourney...
They could make without money in freerolls but instead they put 10$...
But I think mostly people are playing this tourney because they see money on it even only first get some kind of money, but they dont understand that lol...
You can get alot of money at end of the month and after that you are qualified to Premier league and there is even more money but much less players ...

Congratulations Ronin, nice win for sure considering that a lot of players registered for it.
I actually did not know about this leaderboard that pokerstars themselves organize, but it seems that the freerolls have as many participants as the BRM ones.

congrats ronin (a bit late, but better late then never)- a win is a win, and a win in such a huge filed, and to top off it's a freeroll- place where people don't shine with poker intelligence to say the least...really great achievement. i never won any bigger than 2 people tourney...guess i should retire from poker

Well done ronin. That will help you start grinding again and build a bankroll from scratch. And it was a remarkable win considering the amount of players, which was 8K +. Good luck on your next ones.
