Hey guys!

I was thinking that now that it's soon Christmas, I'm probably gonna blow quite a bit of cash. Therefor I figured that I would try to get something back by the end of the year. Seeing as I used to be a winning cashgames player (even tho I didn't really enjoy that type of game), I thought I would see if I still remember how to do it even after a year of not playing more then maybe 5 or 6 times with a +/- 0 result.

I will start with a bankroll of just $20 (I have a bankroll of about $300 but I won't use more then $20 for this) and I'll play the NL2 tables. I will move up in limits if I reach 20 BI's for the next level, NL4 (yeah I know, weird level) which would be $80.

I will update this blog after every session I play. I will keep the first post updated with my bankroll and profit/loss.

Starting Bankroll: $20
Current Bankroll: $28,87
Profit: $8,87
Sessions played: 5
Average profit per session: $1,77

------------
I actually just ended the session I was playing wile writing the first post. It was quite a decent session. I finished with a $6,35 profit. So that puts my bankroll up to $27,48. A really good start to this last minute grind of the year.

First post updated with new stats.

What site are you playing? I'm potentially looking for somewhere to grind baby stakes in-between tournaments but need good traffic and low rake.

Good luck! Blink

I don't think you can beat pokerstars on that one. It's only 3.5% rake at NL2, and all the trafic you want.

At NL5 and up it doesn't matter much, most sites charge 5% (except PKR which has huge rake up to NL25, but you can get rakeback to alleviate it a bit).

You could do the "Build up your bonus" promo at full tilt, to effectively receive about 28.5% rakeback until the end of the year: http://www.bankrollmob.com/forum.asp?mode=thread&id...

(this might be interesting for you as well Erru)...

Cash games are definately my type of poker, also pretty good profit for a first session considering the limit you are playing Blink

I'll definately make sure to read your post, it would be great to make some extra cash for the end of the year Big Smile

Hey guys!

Thank you for all your comments!

Nastasha1982: I'm playing at PartyPoker. But as marqis says, stars have better rake for the micro stakes.

So, I didn't have time to update yesterday due to being called into work but I played a small grinding session. It was a unsuccessful session since I had a small loss. I lost $0,35 but it ain't that bad of a loss so no need to complain. My new bankroll is at $27,13.

I just had a horrable session. I just lost all I worked for. My AKs with flop 3KK got cracked by AA when the river landed an A. My QQ the very next hand ran into the same guy who got dealt AA again! I\m like what the fack!? So that's 2 BI's down the drain. The other 2 tables didn't really go as planed either. AQ, flop 7JQ, villain goes all-in, I call, he flips over 77. That's another BI. Then the one that made me stop playing: get dealt 56s in big blind, I get to see the flop for free. 478 of my suit, I floped a straight flush! Two players left, one bets half pot, the other calls, I call. Turn is K of another suit. First player bets, second player raises, I reraise all-in, bot players call, they turn over AKs of my suit and 10Js of my suit. River is 9s. The villain rivered a higher straight flush!

This is just completely ridiculous... So for the rest of the day, I say F*CK CASHGAMES!!!

Just remember to play good poker and I am sure you will do fine.

Well, I won't be able to play for a wile... My girlfriend thought I played to much (about 2-3 hours a day if I had the time) so when I went to the bathroom, she self-excluded me from poker for 7 days!! Basically, I can't play poker for a week now... What a great relationship I have at times... NOT!!

Well I know this feeling, I have a wife and 2 kids....and have to set priorities.
Family life on place nr 1 (wife and kids), work on nr 2 (you need some cash to live) and poker on nr 3.

So I mostly play short sessions of 1-2 hours (1 or 2 times a week) and mostly during the week.
The weekends I prefer to spend with my wife and kids...

This is the way I keep married for over 13 years now ... and I hope to keep it that way

GL amigo and a week without poker won t kill you

The thing is that I really only play when I do have time AFTER I've spent a lot of time with my girlfriend. I only play when we're not doing anything special so poker doesn't get in the way, ever. As it turns out, for some reason she just thought that I was playing to much because I was playing 2 tables at the same time. That's why she did it. Kind of a weird argument I would say since 2 tables is nothing really compared to the 9 tables she's let me play in the past...

A week off won't kill me, it's just annoying that this happens when I just started on a new project (this thread). Oh well, it'll get me some time to catch up on a few TV-shows that I've missed.

Maybe it's not a great start, i guess the only good thing so far is that you are on profit Smile

I bet that if you had played that AK hand on KKx flop you would have won it on stars Tongue Evil

Keep us updated!
