SmithMeister2234 MyBet Cash Game Blog  +1
Hey All
So i have just received my free $20 on mybet and will be concentrating solely on micro cash games.

Firstly i will give you some background about myself: -
I have been playing poker for around 8 years usually micro-low sit n goes, but also the occasional cash games which i would say i enjoy less but can win more on.

My biggest MTT cash to date would be the ipoker sunday $200,000 guarantee where i finished about 80th and received around $900.

My biggest MTT win would be a £3.30 MTT £250 guarantee on sky poker in which i won about £87 ($135)

My most successful week in poker would have to be playing the $15 turbo sit n goes on pokerstars in which i profited about $700 in one week - (saying that since then i have had the worst luck on pstars and i'm staying a way for a while.

So regarding my new bankroll of $20 on mybet i will be playing only the 0.02-0.04 cash games 2 tables at a time.

I will update my blog every couple of days or so.

SmithMeister2234 is my nickname so if your playing with me give me a shout Smile

Current Bankroll: $20

This should be fun, and i can promise you that you already have a subscriber to your blog and also one Thumbs Up from me.

Since your bankroll is pretty low for this limit i would strongly suggest to play a bit tight until you double it up at least and be really careful to tilt!

Hey Macubaas
Yes $20 playing 0.02-0.04 is very loose but this is the lowest limit on mybet poker i only have 12 buy ins at this limit of $1.60. hopefully i can have a few good sessions to start with to push me up to about $32 which will give me 20 buy ins which is a bit safer.

Update soon!

Hi #smithy2234 and good luck on your goal.
First of all i have to say that i didn't join yet in myBet cause i'm causious about their payouts,so if you manage to achieve your goal and when you make your first cashout if it's easy please let us know it.
As for your strategy to build a bankroll i personally don't like it.I've tried many times to be hero from zero and i realyzed that if you don't mix your sessions it's hard to make a profit.I personaly use this type of mix for the same amount you have in your roll.
-2 cahgame tables of min.BI of $0.80(i prefer omaha hi/lo rather than holdem for cash because of the hand action) <<<$0.80x2=$1.60>>
-4 Sng of $0.50+0.05 BI<<$0.50+0.05x4=$2.20>>
-1 MMT of $$1.00+0.10 or 2 MMT of $0.50+0.05<<$1.10>>

Total session $4.90

Anyway hope you achive your goal and wait for updates mate GL Thumbs Up

Hey All
Thanks for all the support and messages with tips guffyman1 i like your suggestion so may actually follow your route but skip the MTT's and just play the micro sit n goes with cash games.

First update: -
Current Bankroll: $22.12
Profit: $2.12
Sessions: 2
Average profit: $1.06

Update to come. Smile SmithMeister2234

------------
Finished my sessions for today

Current Bankroll $32.08
Total Sessions: 4
Profit: $12.08
Average Profit: $3.02

Had 2 excellent sessions today and profited around $10 can hopefully have another successful day tomorrow and hit that $40 mark Smile

From my 10 hours play over 2 days ipoker micro stakes are some of the loosest games i have played - i'm not sure if cash games are played solely against my bet players or shared across the ipoker name or maybe that is just tournaments as the tables are not the busiest.

Im really trying to concentrate on my bankroll management as this is what lets me down in the longrun - if any of you have tips please pass them on so i can implement them in my game.

Update to come soon - SmithMeister2234

Hey All.,.

Had a few sessions today and have come out with a profit however small that profit may be.

I have attached some stats regarding my sessions and the graph will hopefully continue to go in the upwards direction.

When do you guys think i should move up to 0.05/0.10 ($50) as im really trying to show good bankroll management i would not like to move up too early and have to drop back down after a couple of bad sessions.

I will continue posting my stats and graphs to show my bankroll growth or decline Smile

Update to come Smile SmithMeister2234!

This has became like my personal diary Smile and is keeping me managing my bankroll perfectly.
Had some horrid sessions today with the worst my AA getting cracked by 10-6 (how do you call?)

I have finally managed to attach a graph with my bankroll and i have a nice one showing my average hourly profit per session which shows the effect of variance in poker.

if anyone is reading this i would like to hear how you best manage your bankroll and how this works out for you. It is so hard not tilting after a few bad beats in a session and today i even walked away from the computer while still sat in on all my 4 poker tables and came back in 10 minutes after i had a fag and coffee and actually ended that session $1.17 up.

I belive I should actually start using a bit more aggressive bankroll management ...I have my money spread over a few sites and I dont want any of them to go busto Big Smile so I'm almost treating them as separate bankrolls (doesn't really make sense i know)... But atleast the badbeats don't really affect me so badly because I know a few buy-ins up/down is not gonna matter a lot .. Just today I played zoom and after ~250 hands I was running 4 buy-ins below EV but I didnt care just grinded ~2k hands and made 75bb profit in the end Big Smile ..

But I believe in the micros something like 25BI rule is OK ... maybe after NL10 it gets a little risky..dont know...

Good luck to you on this venture. It is always very nice to read about the ups and downs of any poker players session. I look forward to reading about your bad beats and your lucky rivers. Good luck to you again on this project

4nl with $20 starting is really hard but I hope you could make the first few $ so that you can safely play your roll. But hey, I started with $10 in 2nl so we're roughly in the same street Big Smile If you want some bankroll management guide you can take a look at my first post in my blog and maybe get some ideas of your own. And then post it here so that you won't lose track of it. I would also like to suggest that you make some goals, it gives direction and gives you motivation and you'll know that you are in the right track. GL on your grinding nate Thumbs Up

Hey Adok thanks for checking my blog had a good few sessions over the last few days so now have a $35 bankroll which i'm very happy with, hopefully i can grind up to $40 which will give me 25 buy ins at this level.
I have another update to come but will play a couple more sessions this evening (session usually consists of 4 tables for 1 hour no longer but possibly shorter if the cards don't seem to be falling for me) then give an update to as how my day went..

Hey Followers/blog readers

Had another average session today but ended it with a few good profitable hands.

Still can't seem to win an all in pre flop even when my hand is dominant. I've only just started using FPDB this has some of the beats in but not enough hands played to show any real stats so i have just uploaded my graph (profit and total bankroll)

My level: 0.02/0.04
Minimum buy in: $1.60
Bankroll management: 25 buy ins: $40
if i manage to get $125 that will be the next target and i will start to buy in for the maximum amount. after that i will look to hit $250 and then step up to 0.05/0.10.
Hopefully i can hit $100 by the 1st of January which will be tight but if i keep profiting my average of around $3.20 a day i will be at $90 by this time, and if i have a few good days where cards fall for me i'm even thinking i could hit that $125 mark by the 1st of January.

Wish me Luck Smile

Nate - Smithmeister2234 Smile Update to come
