Hi to all Mobsters, I have some nice ideas about BRM leaderboars taking place in FTP and PokerStars and wanted to share them with all you and especially if i get an answer(porsitive or negative) from admin i would be happy.
>Usuall problems about taking place in a leaderboard game in FTP and MOST in PokerStars: 1)Password is not protected between BRM members. 2)As a resul to many players taking place(about 1000-1500 in FTP and 4000-5000 in PokerStars) 3)Many donks(and especially russians) 4)Much more lower BRM points you get geting the ATM(only first 2-3 get some money=BRM leaderboard points)
>Solutions about this huge problem that doesn't let any BRM member enjoy-learn-and earn some money from these freerolls: 1)Make a system that only verified players will be eligible to join BRM leaderbords and sent them a multientry ticket on FTP and Pokerstars. 2)Since all donks that join these tourneys do in only for $$ you can try something easier,just don't put any prize money for daily freerolls and top 90-100-120 players will get BRM points once you have the results of those tourneys(BRM points are like money for all Mobsters) 3)Sent password via e-mail to all that had toped up for the monthly leaderboards 2-3 min. before tourney(That way site stays stable and all interested Mobesters will have the password sooner than the tourney starts) 4)Make it little harder to join the daily tourney(e.g. ad a special section where all interested Mobsters will have to go and join for lets say 10-20 BRM points and those Points will go strait to the prizepool for top finishers or those points can be saved for a secont highlighted tourney that will not give any money but the total buy in points that have been saved.
I don't know but i find these solutions easy to do or most of them so i posted them here in order to listen what other BRM monthly leaderboard participants and especially admin have to say. Thank you

This is an issue guffy that has been discussed numerous times here. Pretty much all the "solutions" have been covered so far. But according to BRM no changes will happen for the time being. Things work for them just great the way they run. And if something works for you, why keep messing with it

Thanks for replying Mober, I know the hole thing works,but as i see many Mobsters don't get in trouble playing these freerolls anymore,or some of them like myself play them like donks,if i catch a big stack in first levels by playing bingopoker then i focuse on in and play more serious,else no problem another tournament in half an hour with the same strategy. But if BRM could do something to improve it,then many things would work better as for users as for many serious member that would bother to join the site and try the hole thing more serious. Anyway all the above are just thoughts and by knowing that this thing has been discused much more in the past wanted to expess my opinion and if anyone like you or anyone else want can express their opinions too,negative or positive.

If you check on BRM page the number of mobsters you will see that we are more than half of a million members and theese freerolls are just for fun,can not make enough money to worth playing thinking time consuming and the pay out.Try to play bigger prize freerolls,from time to time Pokerstars has freerolls with 1500 $ prize amount.Good luck

I too wish something could be done about these freerolls. I like guffyman1's 1 & 2 solutions. When I play these freerolls I feel like I'm between a rock and a hard place. I joined BRM and play in the freerolls in a hope of improving my game before I make any deposits. But I don't think my game is improving any with these. probably getting worse. I have finished in the money a few times but I think it was just pure luck. In the meantime I will just have to try other things to become a better player. Maybe just a few small deposits to try to improve.

Well, these are the reasons why I stopped playing them, because of all these password stealers. Would love to see changes like you suggested and compete against mobsters in a real leaderboard, but I am afraid nothing will change.

Yeah just do ahead and make a small $50 deposit and play $0.50 tournament at Full Tilt Poker, you'll for sure improve yourself by doing so but you'll still find couple of bingo players like in the BRM freerolls there but only a few not a massive amount. Whereas for thread topic, I see some good solutions but as Mober said BRM will not change things at the moment... but hey I'm currently sitting 21th in the FTP leaderboard and I have to say big thanks to all those donks you are referring to

I think you have many good ideas and i think the one about awarding points instead of money is especially a good idea. I think this will deter a lot of the donks from playing and it will attract mostly BRM players.

Haha i still laugh Admin But seriously now i wonder with that kind of situation many...many users will create much more threads about this thing happening on freerolls and i think with some point of wright. O.k i know that you don't have any problem about the thing as it is now,but if you want just think all the users like me or maybe many more that want 1st to learn poker and from these freerolls they forget what is poker(please don't tell me just to ignore leaderboards or else what's the meaning of existing?)2nd i bet that none of neebe BRM members can build a bankroll that way(only those very lucky members can do it,but against 4000-5000 playing those freerolls do you think that only luck is good?) Anyway you are the admin and i'm just a user and i can't do anyting more rather than making at least one quality thread(in my opinion at least)with few solutions about that common problem for some BRM serious users. Forgive me for the short reply, but we have been over this many times before. There is currently no way we can really improve it and to prevent password leaks. We have talked with FTP/PS as well to see what they were able to offer, and currently it can't be done within the scope of the concept/leaderboard.

I'm sure you're a good admin and you are trying to do the best for BRM and it's members and i have no doubts about you and your team.Just wanted to say what i said as i think i'm part of BRM family and in families everything must be shared between their members.

i like your second suggestion, to make freerolls award points instead of money
also - if brm does that - they could add those missing 25$ per freeroll to monthly prize to make it even bigger too. thats like additional $150 per day x 30 days... another 4,5k for leaderboard. it would definitely make more brm membes interested in playing brm freerolls if leaderboard had bigger prizes.
right now we have 25$ freeroll with 1,5k+ people playing (so its not that attractive to many people i suppose ) and leaderboard that awards 1,1k to 1st 30 people, but u gotta play like 5 freerolls per day, and get itm to get some money there
tldr: with higher monthly leaderboard we would probably raise interest of BRM members for those freerolls, plus it would attract less non-brm people. its a win win situation, imo

From all the suggestions i did like the most the one that awards points instead of money. But that would mean even more work hours for BRM, not to mention that Full Tilt would have to make a special setup for this one.

yea i guess ur right Mober, just not sure if all this is being done manually or its auto?
either way today i played my 2nd freeroll and yea i dont find it that attractive really Been running for like 4hrs and if it wasnt for that 4hrs i spent on it id just go all in some random hand and get done with it last 10 people standing and still if you get kicked now you win like 20 cents If i wasnt playing some other mtts on ipoker at the same time i wouldnt bother with this one really.
Also i think points would motivate people more... as it is now, seeing you played for hours, ended up at 10th place out of 2k people and u won 20 cents or so is kinda.. demotivating
just my 2 cents anyways Might run this one again if its on at the same time im running some other mtt but thats about it

Another one suggestion came to my mind and i think is verry easy to be done is to put a lower maximum amount of players that can take part on the daily tourneys(e.g maximum regs:1000)or so considering the mambers that are taking part on BRM leaderboard +100-200 more places.So the daily BRM participant's will look after to reg.quicker than password stealers and when the tournament will full no problem at all(better 1000-1200 opponents rather than 4000-5000 on PS or 1500 on FTP)

I never ahd any problems to register in one of the mobster leaderboard tourneys. But it verry hard to reach a place between the first 30 players. You Need some hours to reach a prize money place for some cents.

i think best solution is to send tickets for players which are registered like day ago because then guys which want to get password like from facebook wont be able to join
When BRM free.rolls were also held on Uni.bet, the participation barely went above 4-500 players - therefore a prizepool were slick, especially in the final five places - yet arriving itm wasnt easier then nowadays on PS or FLLTLT. And protecting passwords its just ridiculous effort, since this site is interested having new members every day, and these freerolls its a way to promote this effort, they are not some hard-bolied poker school to sharpen your skills.
Anybody who thinks his/her skills benefit from playing any sort of free.roll anywhere its just lying to him/herself. By the nature of these things, if no amount is required to participate there will be barely any effort given to play carefully or normal. Thats just the way it is, freerolls come and go everyday and some players just trolling all the way in it or trying out strategies or simply going full retard for the sake of fun.
