Busy  0

Hello Mobsters,

Before I was free and I played a lot of tournaments. Now I work and I am very busy and I don't play poker so much. I am so tired and I don't feel motivated to play. I mean I have enough money now, so I can afford to play some Sunday tournaments with higher buy in, but I am too tired and my mind is concentrated with the work. Now when I play poker I am not so excited, as I was before.

Before I was free and played lots of freerolls, now I am busy and I have money but I can't play tournaments. I love my job, but I miss all the free time which I had.

Sometimes life is too complicated. Ohhh sorry, life is too simple but we complicate it too much...

Good luck with your poker careers!

Best Regards,

Peter7878

Hey Peter the most important thing is that you do what you love to do, who knows maybe in 2-3 years you'll have the free time you're actually missing. I'd love to wish you a long successful run in your new work and indeed I know you'll try to find some free time to play some poker as we all love the game and will never stop loving it. Good luck to you too.

Same as you Peter.

This month has been really hard. Too much work so I think I know how you feel.
In my case I'm just waiting for January when I 'll be on vacation.

Anyway it is sad to hear that you cannot play as much as you can, espcially after those good results that you get on the BRM freerolls at PokerStars.

Gl man!

That is what happens most of the times with poker and not only.
At some point you have all the free time you want. But some day
life is catching up, and you struggle to find some free time
to do things you enjoyed.
Good luck with your new job.

A Job was +ev and if you have not enough time to Play poker at the Moment, it can give you a lot of Motivation to Play only some times. Multi tabling can be boring with the time and to Play only some Special games in you free time is really the better way to build a bankroll step by step.

Don't be sad , Peter, now you are earning some guaranteed money from your job.

I'm sure that in time you'll manage to mix the two perfectly and poker will become more like a fun thing to do and relaxing Blink

Agree her with macubaas, in these times of economic crisis having a decent job is a luxury.

Due to my work and family affairs (I have a wife and 2 kids) my time to play poker is limited.

So I only play cash games or SNG 1-tables, as I do not have the time to play long sessions.
Mostly I play for 1 to maimum 2.5 hours (1 or 2 times a week), I rarely play freerolls as they last for several hours.
The reason that I play poker is not to win money, but just for relaxation, I play for fun at low stakes and can play there profitable (sometimes I loose , sometimes I win, but my bankroll raises very slowly on the long term)

Poker will always be there Peter.

Now that you're working and I guess can afford to play higher stakes (and maybe with less pressure in general) you'll likely to a lot better when you actually sit down and fire up a poker room.

I found this was the case with me. Smile

Life is full of challenges opportunities and competing demands.

I am in the same kind of place as Peter and many others here on BRM (and elsewhere).

I love playing poker however have family and work demands that don't necessarily get in the way of playing poker but do limit the opportunities to play more often.

I good test would really be, why do you play poker?

If its to make money, give up our job and turn pro! (risky)
If its for enjoyment etc, and you only play freerolls to reduce expenditure and it's not to make money, keep your job and play recreationally when you can.

If you are addicted....... See a shrink!

Remember....poker should be enjoyable..... Not a necessity.

Yeah I know how you feels, december and I am working part time and not a lot of time to play poker or do anything really, we have to get some money to spent in real life and buy gifts for our family.

Maybe get back into poker after the holidays, with a new resolve to crush the game and maybe next year you will live by doing poker professionally. Smile

Anyway good luck in your work and hope all is ok and you will find time with poker!
