Opinions of current PartyPoker software please  0
Hi guys and gals,

I have been playing poker and casino on Partypoker for a few months now, and I recently stopped because their software was driving me crazy. I was running it on a Windows 7 platform, and my biggest problem was that the names would disappear from the buttons. So although I knew that I could click on them, I wasn't sure what they would do. Have you been playing on PP? What has been your experience? What operating system are you using? Thank you for your feedback.

I hate the partypoker software, it's full of bugs. I like the missions and achievements, it's a good idea to reward members and not just the new depositors. But that's about the only positive thing I can say about it.

I'm also on windows 7. Their software bugs a lot, has lots of server issues too. Sometimes it says I'm disconnected for no reason. Other day I was trying to find SnG and I couldn't find any for some reason they were unavailable at the moment. I Haven't had the bug of the names disappearing though. Anyways, lots of weird stuff, but it's still playable.

Bulgarians are not allowed to play there, because the main party office is in Bulgaria, but I can give you a tip that the party support agents are bulgarians. If you have administrative party poker questions related with accounts, cashouts etc., I can give you some tips because I worked there in the past. Blink

You should do this:

1. Uninstall the software (control panel / programs & features)
2. Change your browser to mozilla firefox
3. Install the software from www.partypoker.com using mozilla firefox

You will not have any further software problems after doing this! Blink

Party Poker software works perfect with mozilla firefox, but you should not use IE when downloading Party Poker software.

Thanks for taking the time Peter, but I am still having problems. I started off by deleting all traces of PP from my computer. I then downloaded Firefox and tried to download PP. First thing, Firefox did not like PP's security certificate, so I was left with no choice but to save the .exe file and install from that. When I play right after an install it works fine, but as soon as I close down the software and then boot it back up the old problems return. Right now I find that if I uninstall at the end of each session and then reinstall from the .exe before every session it works, but obviously I would prefer not to be going through the hassle. Attached are picture of what the software should look like and what I am seeing if I don't reinstall every time. Any help is appreciated:

Software is exceptionally laggy and often freezes on me. I believe adding the social side to it can't have helped.

That said, the choice of games and structures on offer are good. The BRM offer for PP is very good too.

Yep! There are some buggy type issues with freezing and load errors, but when it does work (which for me is most of the time) I really like the layout and he graphics and also the choice of games that are available....the missions aspect is quite cool too.

Hate the way the cards look, hard to tell the suites apart without 4 color deck.

I did not played there since they made the software update but what can i tell is that theyr software was one of the weakest all the time.

In fact it as the main reason for which i quit playing at them plus another tax they charged me for cashouts. Sorry to hear that even the software change they still have problems.

I've had issues with their software freezing at times and having too restart my laptop and had too play via a internet browser this really got annoying as I won a 6 dollar satellite ticket in their latest Poker fest events series and tried too unregister from the target event rebuy tournament as I don't like rebuying but couldn't because the site was lagging and freezing and once you are registered you can't unregister from an event from 15 minutes from the start of a Tournament with Party Poker for some reason Confused Confused last year they had a lot more Free rolls without too many requirements but now they tailored there Free rolls too real money play via missions and objectives.

Mahdrof, I worked there five years ago, but what I see from the screenshots you made a lot of things have been changed. The best thing you can do is to write them an email explaining the situation or use the live chat section in their site and their IT department will help you with that.

Sorry to hear that still you have problems. Sad

I have been playing Party Poker for a few years and i have no problem with their software. It seems to be a personal preference thing and for me its okay. I have read a lot of people knocking them so i might be in the minority

Yes, their tables frozen verry often, the "layout" of the software is ok. But the real "problem": they don´t have nice promos like in the past and 20% rake at the sng´s was to much. Perhaps they create new promos and than we can try pp again in the future.
