Many congratulations to Rafael Nadal in defeating Ronaldo in this heads up challenge. Must be great that people are willing to put money up for you to play cards. The rich get richer is correct, i'm not jealous!! Congratulations again to him

It is a big surprise in my opinion, i thought he have not so much experience with poker. But it seems that he was not only a good tennis player. Now we can wait for the first winning from Boris Becker But he is now the new tennis Trainer...

nadal is the only athlete that won big in a tourney. There was many who was sponsored but they did not mange to win. Teddy Sheringam and others. At the end of the day it just boost their image. It make poker more and more known to many people all around the world.

Posted by Macubaas: I saw this too on another newspoker site but i guess we will never know if this was for real or not considering the purpose of the event was charity.
But if you take the noble cause of the event i think in the end it counts less if the game was for real or not
You are right man.
Because it was a charity event we cannot be sure if poker pros play their best. It is likely that they do not. I can not find in what position Ronaldo finished. It would be nice to have more information about him as well.
Anyway may be this winning motivate Nadal to take a shot in a real tournament at the WSOP ot EPT tour. Who knows, may be in the next months we can see him playing with the sharks.
