Congratulations to Julian Thomas for winning this event and taking the 200,000. Vasili Firsau must be some player if this is his second runners up spot in just a few months. Many congratulations again to everybody

Another Julian. And that Vasili guy is on a streak too. Germans are becoming the feared poker players of Europe if not already. I'm starting to think that as a nation they are up there with America for best players at least in oturnaments.

Yeah nice cup win, the picture with him holding the cup is priceless it is so rare, they just get small bracelets for those big events at least he gets a good trophy and a nice sum of money before christmas cheers keep it up!

Heskor, he got a up because bracelets are usually given on wsop but i agree that this cup is much more impressive than a bracelet!
But i guess there is another reason for which they offer bracelets, i mean the owner could go anywhere with it an brag, with a cup is so much harder to do that and in can only be displayed in a case.

what happened to huge WPT prizes, winner now gets 200k tops it used to be much higher in the past, no?
i mean there are regular events on some online poker sites with $50-$200k prize pools and much lower buy ins :o i always thought these mainstream online events would have much higher prizes than online ones...
oh well, still quite a decent win doubt he could complain about winning 'just' 200k though, lol

Ending the year with a €200k first prizemust have helped giving a better reveillon to him and his closest friends and family. But poker money always tend to return to the table, so i guess there must be a part of this prize that will surely be invested on poker again, even if it is to try to win even bigger prizes!
