Never closed mine so don't know for sure but I guess you should mail **removed by admin** asking to close your account and the trick is done.

ADMIN: may you confirm I'm right please?

PS: I can't figure out why do you want to close your account? Would you like to share with me the reason?

I may want to close it in the near future for reasons I do not wish to disclose as of yet
