Party Poker 2014 "New Year's resolution" mission  0
I just noticed a new mission was added; Party Poker 2014 "New Year's resolution" mission:

2014
Take part in 20 Sit & Go tournaments

2014
Take part in 14 multi-table tournaments

Suited and booted
Win with A-K suited, J-T suited, 8-7 suited, 7-2 suited and 3-2 suited.

Fat ladies and skinny men
Win with these starting hands: 8-8 and 7-7.

New year workout 1
Take part in 1 Sit & Go tournament every day for 12 days.

New year workout 2
Take part in 1 multi-table tournament every day for 12 days.

Another year, another dollar
Win with A-3 offsuit and 7-2 offsuit in a Sit & Go or multi-table tournament with a buy-in of over $1 or a cash game with stakes less than $0.50/$1

The reward is an "Entry into an exclusive freeroll on 19th January where you can win a cut of $25,000 in tournament dollars".

Looks okay to me. Anyone seen any interesting "New Year's" promotions on other sites they might want to let us know about?

I'm not sure from your post whether this is one mission or a number of different missions! Maybe I will have to log into pp later and take a look cos if this is one combined mission then the reard does not look that great cos your combined buy ins for the mission may as well be saved and played in a tourney with a prize fund of $25k with a lower buy in than you would need to pay to complete the mission!

I will review my post when I have looked at pp itself.

So far nothing sent by email. Havent logged to take a look at the sites though.
Sometimes they put offers on without notifying anyone.
Ive got quite a few though from usual casino sites for deposit bonuses with "special"
requirements. Deleted at once Smile

Lol "fat ladies and skinny men"...But the prize pool sounds really nice and the rules are good for manicas Cool Is these a special promo for tilt players? Big Smile But to try to win with These hands are good to produce rake for the site and the winner is: not the players...

Win with A-K suited, J-T suited, 8-7 suited, 7-2 suited and 3-2 suited.

at least theres no mission to win a hand with 72o or else it would be a donks heaven :/

some of these missions will probably lose u more money than u would get if u complete them, lol

nvm just noticed this one

"Win with A-3 offsuit and 7-2 offsuit in a Sit & Go or multi-table tournament with a buy-in of over $1 or a cash game with stakes less than $0.50/$1"

sure, and all that for a 1 mtt ticket (well true its a 25k mtt but still -.-)

are these missions open to all players or its by invitation only?

dont have acc yet there though so no idea how does their promo/missions system work.

@ice thats not much money though is it, especially for you. you could always invest a tenner into sportsbetting and make 60 out of it. or more Big Smile

wonder if there will be some new promos for new parypoker players in the future, how often does brm add new offers/change old ones?

I think they are open to anyone.

I also wonder if these missions will be renewed sometimes. I know that there were some extra missions for pokerfest (I completed the easiest one for T$6), and now for new year.

This is a link to the webpage for it: https://www.partypoker.com/whats-going-on/promotions/ne...

I notice that the last mission objective is different: "Win with A-3 offsuit and 7-2 offsuit in a Sit & Go or multi-table tournament with a buy-in over $1 or a cash game with stakes higher than $0.50/$1". That can end up to be costly... Sad

You better take the money you will spend trying this mission and enter a 50K real money tournament.

pinotte Aww crap!

I have to agree with you. The last objective is the deal breaker. In the mission itself it says "Win with A-3 offsuit and 7-2 offsuit in a Sit & Go or multi-table tournament with a buy-in of over $1 or a cash game with stakes less than $0.50/$1", but on the web page it says "higher".

I was thinking this was okay playing NL2, but now it seems you'd have to play NL200 until you win with A3o and 72o. You need a $4000 bankroll for that level. Aww crap!

I'm sorry to even have brought this up, that is just ridiculous. Angry

Update: I decided to ask support about it...

marqis: I have a question about the 2014 "New Year's resolution" mission.

It says: "Another year, another dollar
Win with A-3 offsuit and 7-2 offsuit in a Sit & Go or multi-table tournament with a buy-in of over $1 or a cash game with stakes less than $0.50/$1"

Does that mean I could clear that objective playing NL2 cash games, or should it say "higher" than $0.50/$1, which would require NL200...?
Veselina: Welcome to Live Help!
Veselina: Please confirm your last name and date of birth for security reasons.
marqis: xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx
Veselina: Thanks for the confirmation. Please give me a moment while I retrieve your account details.
marqis: Good morning btw
Veselina: good morning
Veselina: after double checking the condition I can confirm that I have the same information for stakes lower than $0.50/$1
marqis: So NL2 would work?
marqis: Have a look at https://www.partypoker.com/whats-going-on/promotions/ne...
marqis: It says higher there...
Veselina: oh, you are right, indeed it says higher there
Veselina: let me check
marqis: NL200 would require a $4000 bankroll, which would make this a dealbreaker (for almost anyone)
Veselina: I would need to have this escalated so it is checked
Veselina: in t he meantime I would not be able to confirm which is the correct - lower or higher
Veselina: as soon as we have the needed information we can email you back
Veselina: would that be ok?
marqis: Okay, I anticipated that; thanks for your help, and I will wait for your email...
Veselina: thank you
Veselina: Good luck and enjoy the games Smile. Thank you.
marqis: ty

I'll update when the email arrives...

Seems like a good promotion and i will be trying to meet these requirements. Some of these missions are very hard to achieve but if you play regularly enough it is surprising how quick you achieve some of these missions. Good luck to all those who enter

I'd imagine the last objective will be LOWER rather than higher. Doesn't tie in with the level of the rest of the mission otherwise. They key point here is you must play 12 consecutive days. Any chance of missing just one day and its not worth trying.

I'm glad the stipulations regarding winning with certain hands doesn't specify "at showdown".

One of their previous missions required you to win "at showdown" with these hands and I failed to win with 87s in nearly 8,000 hands Disagree

I hope so, but I've not yet heard back from support...

OTOH why would higher level cash games be excluded then...? That makes no sense either...

Has anyone cleared this objective yet? I would love to know, in case I don't hear from support again...

------------
UPDATE: I've just checked their web page again: https://www.partypoker.com/whats-going-on/promotions/ne...

They've changed the text for the last objective to "Win with A-3 offsuit and 7-2 offsuit in a Sit & Go or multi-table tournament with a buy-in of over $1 or a cash game with stakes less than $0.50/$1"

So it's back on...

I did not hear back from support though, but the fact that they've changed the text on the website suggests that "less" is correct.

------------
I finally got the email back from support:

Dear Marqis,

This is an email in regards to your query about the New Year's Resolution mission promotion.

It has been confirmed by the respective team that the condition for the last part of the mission should say:

"Win with A-3 offsuit and 7-2 offsuit in a Sit & Go or multi-table tournament with a buy-in of over $1 or a cash game with stakes less than $0.50/$1"

The mistake was on the website, however, it has been fixed.

I would like to apologise for the inconvenience and to thank you that you brought this up to our attention.

In case you have further questions, we will be more than happy to assist you. We are available 24/7.

Thank you for choosing us as your online gaming site.

Best regards,
Veselina

Good news then marqis. Might give it a tickle, just need to remember to play everyday for 12 days. Everything else should fall into place unless you're very unlucky Sad Good luck!

The A3 and 27 requirment has too be a showdown i did the 27off by checking it down too the river and hitting a 7 on the river not a hard mission at all if your an active player on Party Poker my only problem with this site is losing my free roll winnings too sports betting gotta stop betting because its not working out GL

You are right; I missed that; in fact if you go to the web page: https://www.partypoker.com/whats-going-on/promotions/ne... and click on the second tab, you get the terms and conditions. In particular:
Heads-up tournaments and Freerolls are excluded. Sit & Go and multi-table tournament buy-in needs to be over $1 and cash game stakes lower than $0.50/$1. Winning hands need to go to showdown.

I'm a bit confused now, because I cleared the 20 Sit & Go objective playing DONs with buyins ranging from $0.10 to $0.50, and it seems that MTTs with a buying of $0.50 are counted as well in the second objective...

Do you get a progress counter for the 12 days in a row objectives? Mine do not show any, so I can't see if I've missed any days...

This promo is open to anyone who has a PartyPoker account. It is a demanding mission though and given it requires 12 consecutive days of play combined with the level of challenge, unless you are playing almost every minute of each day, you dont stand much chance (in my honest opinion) of achieiving it......... I apologise in advance if Party Poker think I am putting people off but I am just sharing an honestly held opinion and believe there will be a number of players who do achieve it but with a lot of time committment given solely to it.

Good promo on the whole though¬!

This is a good promotion but i think that Poker Stars new Challenge Promotion is way better and easier in value
and in a way of building a decent Bank Roll with there all in shootout Free rolls GL
