How many hands???  0
How many hands Do I need to play to say that I beat one level?

I mean, after how many hands I can say with confidence whether I'm a winning or loser player in a specific level?

I want to play this January on NL5 short handed to see if I can be a winner player.

Thanks all!

At least 100k

Even 100k is probably not enough to be absolutely certain (albeit above 5NL)

I'd say I could train ANYONE to beat 5NL though Smile It's very easy given the number of donks/recreational players at that level.

100k should give you quite an accurate information about how your ROI looks like. Of course, the more hands, the better. But if you are beating given level comfortably and have enough bankroll for the next limit, you should definitely take shot at the higher level. You don´t want to be a micro stakes player for you whole life, do you?

Thank a lot for your answers.

I'm gonna try to make 100k hands this months to see if I can beat the level.
Thant means 3.4k hands per days, what seems a lot to me but I will try.
Currently I made 2.2k, so I will play a session now.

Actually I'm more interested first in being a winner player more than playing at higher levels. Big Smile

Gl all!

Why not to try if you can beat higher limits? If you never try, you will never know. The difference in your winnings can be huge. And the higher limits don´t even have to be harder to beat than the lower ones since you find there more recreational players, who are ready to gamble their money away. (if you are on the right poker site and choose the right table)

I dont think there is any definitive answer to this question. I think you should play at a level you are comfortable with and then move up when you feel it is time. Bankroll management is also important when making this decision

I´ve played more than 100k Hands in the last years, but i only beat my Little bankroll with the sucks. But i like the game and last but not least i can beat the freeroll level Big Smile Never give up and only one good run in a tourney can change evreything.

There is a a crazy micro stakes grinder who I've read of who had downswings lasting 100k hands.

Long term he crushes the low limits but it shows how sick variance can be.
