At the final table Online poker or Live Poker with family or friends is every man for itself. The rush of the win takes over, family ties and friendship are "ruined"

This is the only way to think when you are playing because i am nearly certain that the other people on the table are thinking this. You can go back to being friends after the gamebut when you are playing it is every man for himself!!

The saying 'keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer' is very true and even more so in poker, but then again it may even be the opposite, cos the one thing you can be sure of is that not only your enemies but also your friends (and family) will not be thibnking of you when they bluff the last hand and win the game from you!

I do not think frindship should ever influence your style of play, i mean poker is poker, friendship is friendship!
And even if you play on a home game against friends, the game is the game, someone needds to win and someone needs to lose. If tension happend you should switch to video games or movies
The thing is to never play with anyone that is going to get personally offended by the outcome of a game.
Well, that and not to indulge in the the petty name calling and verbal harassment that seems so common in online games these days. After all there is a difference between being competitive and being a world class A**.
