In the last PCA edition there was much noise about the great play of the Poker Stars Pro Vanessa Selbst. I am very happy that she did a enviable profit of almost 1,5 M$.Is she an artificial player, who Poker Stars are trying to make a good advertising with or is she on route to become one of the greatests. Some say that there was nothing great with her poker ,was more luck them well played poker. What do you think about it?

Before the PCA I leaned towards thinking it was luck more than skill. Her results there, and for me more the comments from players I rate speaking very highly of her...I think she must just be exceptionally good.

She's undeniably good from what I've seen, and her results speak for themselves, luck doesn't win you that much money.
She is hyper aggressive and great at making people question even their strong holdings. Some times this busts her and can be embarrassing when she makes dunce plays, but when it pays it pays and she can establish great table image on her play.
Although she does get very upset when one of her semi-bluffs gets found out, particularly when it busts her. I remember seeing her go bat-s**t when her UTG raise with 4,4 got called by Liv Boeree's BF (can't remember his name) with A,9. She kept raising, he kept calling and he ended up busting her. She threw a major hissy fit.
The only truth I know about Vanessa is that he is lesbian and she's certainly got more p***y that I do and indeed that make me feel very sick, as her poker level of playing she's not that bad. Would you play super high roller tournaments if you were a donkey??? no way

Plenty of donkeys play high stakes poker. Being rich doesn't make you good at poker.
Never understand lesbian couples consisting of a "femme" and a "butch" (being Vanessa). It's like yeh I don't find men attractive so I'll get with a female who looks and acts like a man

I think that Vanessa Selbst is one of the best tournament players out there. Her results in recent years have been phenomenal and she always seems to run very deep in lots of televised tournaments and especially well in the High Roller Events

Luck does not exist as we speak about the top class professional players.She repeatedly reaches final tables at high rollers events.If I am not wrong last year took down PCA.So,by definition cant blame her for excessive luck.In my opinion,she understands perfectly the concept of the game and manipulates masterfully her opponents.Most of the times will try to watch these events via live stream(thanks to Pokerstars)And for conclusion luck favors the bold,if you like.But dont think this apply to our case.

It's an odd one really. What does make a poker pro, and especially one who makes the poker site front pages and represent the big guns... It's no doubt purely a marketing strategy which from time to time changes according to the prevailing form of the player... It could happen to us all!
