Shock < OUCH!!!

I've been thinking,.... (where's the emoticon of a wooden head smouldering...? Big Smile)

Maybe it's not that PokerStars seems to be fixed, but rather PS is straight, and all the OTHER sites are crooked... Question

There is no emoticon because there is none to descripe what you feel at that moment Tongue you go from flop = aha no way I'm losing this one, turn "you better not river a king" river " is this for real? or did I fall a sleep and I'm dreaming this"

Its zoom, so its basically bingo for TAG players.
When he reraised you the second time what were you think he had?
He would have 40% chance against JJ with broadway cards, I know It sucks have been beaten by a runner runner of anything, but far too many badbeats gets their own topic on this forum yet nobody post whenever they got luck in the river.

You have to try and find it funny or you will lose your mind playing poker. Everyone experiences this. Talk to anyone who has played online for a few years or more and you will get stories of months where they just wanted to close their account and/or smash their heads on their computers when everything seemed to be conspiring against them and they had the worst luck in the world. But if they let it get to them, if it put them on tilt every time, you can guarantee the downswing is gonna last longer and feel longer.

Plus the more hands you go all-in with pre flop, the more likely you are to get seriously sick bad beats like this, even with (almost) coin flips like this one. I'm not saying it would have played out differently but you should have considered calling the initial reraise. It is quite risky to be committing yourself with jacks and this is the kind of play you might make after losing with a big pocket pair a few hands earlier.

Unfortunately you lost the hand but in your place i would have never went all in preflop with JJ especially on zoom...

Plus you have nothing to say since you were beaten by a better hand, of course the cards that hit the board were sick but this is stars all about.

Beaten by a better hand? It was a coinflip like 51% for JJ.. But u lost a coinflip so what? U cant think that if u push all in preflop JJ vs AK that u will win everytime.. Ok it was sick board but the board is included in the % and u cant say that u were unlucky.. If u would have pushed on the flop or turn then u would have been unlucky.. Plus this thinking helps you to go over "bad beats" which are not really bad beats

This is an insane hand and i would have to go and have a lie down if this happened to me. Whichever way you decided to play this hand preflop or postflop, all the money was going in. Dont feel too bad about this and just put it down to experience

The even more funny is that finally you lost by quads but for opponent second King on turn was enough!!Ask yourself if you had play this entire different .Maybe if u had see flop you wouldn't have shove?Villain would call your shove?Probably yes.If shoves preflop with AK ,definitely calls this board. Yesterday flopped set of queens on pretty heavy board where villain already hit straight and had flush draw.Had little chips, shoved but no full house showed.Happens all the time and we have to deal with it.

This hand looks horrible, but all the money went in preflop, when it was a coinflip. It is the perfect flop that got beaten by runner runner quads that makes this hand, but in the end you just lost a flip.

Exactly this.

The board may be extreme, but irrelevant, since all decisions were already made.

i know exactly how you feel there colleague: i've been beaten several times when i went all-in preflop with premium holdings such as 36o or 27o and fcukin stars just made me look like a fool...come on how can you not believe in the rigged theory once your 36o gets cracked by complete crap such as AA's or KK's 7 times in a row...it's really rigged i'm telling you

Yep, we rarely see the hands where people have got lucky or simply won.

Getting it in here with JJ is questionable unless you have some reads on the opponent. You were lucky he had AK.

Let's bring some positivity back to the forum! Here's me against someone overplaying JJ yesterday....my re-raises tell him he's beat but we still get it in Big Smile Love it!

Haha s**t happens, when those types of hands happens, like nut flush losing to straight flush etc, quads over quads, you only have to laugh it off because it is bound to happens and will look funny when you tell your friend. Just have a good bankroll and do not let that affects your play and in the long run you will win!

Guys don't get me wrong, I'm not a ahole that wants to rant about how ps is crooked. If I thought it was unfair I would not play it. And yes all the decisions where made preflop. the reason I played it preflop is because I know there are alot of people overplaying small pockets like 44 55 66. And in cash game I don't mind the gamble here with jj. Eather way even if it wasn't preflop all in, all the chips would have gone in the middle eather on the flop or turn.

The worst bad beat I given to some one was years ago on full tilt. In my defense I was drunk like hell. I flop nut flush draw. And foolishly call all in on the turn on 2 people without realising the turn card was the third 9 on the board. river another 9. ended up beating jj qq because of my A felt bad about it when I sobered up, but hey it was a pot around 85 dollars.

But its completly different situation if u would have pushed on the flop or on the turn... U cant think afterwards that anyway we would have got all the chips in.. Like thinking when u have small pair vs AA and on the flop comes a set for you that it was the right move beacause anyway we would have pushed all in on the flop..

this is probably the best worded way of describing a bad beat ive ever heard, i feel like its a great thought process to not let it get to you

G'day mate

Well I fell you pain man, I really do but you must admit that after the flop it is always a posability that someone has hit a set. no matter what you had preflop if some else hits a set they are going to think there set is good to win and that they are ahead. It is at this point that they are not going away. It always sucks when my Aces get crack but at least sometimes you can understand it when it does happen.
I am just saying, I know it sucks I have been there too.
best wishes to you next time.
There will be a next time
be cool
